I just looked at Arnold 2013 men's bodybuilding photos. It may not be as obvious in a contest lineup, but if you enlarge the photos (which I can do with my iPad) it's mind boggling just how swollen the guts are. This includes the winner. For a lot of younger fans who don't remember the classical bodybuilding era, this is the new normal. I've actually heard some people admit they like the roidgut look, and this might be the case with some of the judges. At a minimum, they don't hold the guts against the competitors. If this is the case, I don't think we have a chance of rediscovering a classical look with vacuum (remember that expression) any time soon.
