the horrible c.unt doesn't deserve her name correctly spelt...

alot of shite wrote here and in our news trying to paint a rosey picture of her, but im proud of us working class brits for remembering and showing those shower of c.unts what we realy thought of her..

its pretty simple, she destroyed our towns, theres one shipyard left on the tyne where i work all the heavy industry is almost gone from the north, same with scotland on the clyde or liverpool etc etc

same can be said of the steel works, mines and most manufacturing... now these werent dead industries either, alot were making profits and the ones that werent just needed investment to use new practices and new machinary,,, just as they did in Germany, they supported there industries aswell as encouraging the financial and servacing industries

lol if only it was so simple. the uk economy needed to move on, emerging nations were producing the same things with much lower labour costs, in part due to idiotic union demands pushing up costs in the uk. if those dying publicly owned industries were really viable, they would have been bought up by the private sector , like BT and the utilities etc. keeping people in non productive jobs with the tax payer picking up the tab, would have  caused EVERYONE more pain in the long run.

what do you do if you're making plastic widgets and paying your workers £5 an hr and then someone else comes along and can make the same product but only has to pay their workers 20 pence an hour?
do you keep trying to compete in an area where you have no chance, or do you look for areas where you have the comparative advantage...

thatcher encouraged the uk to move towards higher tech and service industries where we had the advantage over the low skilled/labour cost nations.
when thatcher came into power the uk economy was a basket case with double figure inflation needing to be bailed out by the IMF in 1976(ala greece)

thatcher will be remembered(by people with any clue) as a hero for how she remodeled the economy and defeated the unions that were strangling the life out of the country.

The only place thatdid halfway decent under the old diseased hag was the south.

I watched "The Iron Lady" yesterday... boring. Meryl Streep was brilliant though. She played Thatcher in such a way I really wanted to stop the film at times, she was so reminiscent of her.
