He already tainted the bout with the whole catch weight bullshit.  He didn't make Oscar do a catchweight, nor did he do Cotto like that.  He is a great fighter, but he couldn't carry Sugar Ray Leonards jock.  Could you imagine Floyd fighting Hagler at 160 or any weight for that matter.

If I were Canelo I would have stood my ground and said "it's 154 or your a bitch and don't want the fight".

Crush the B e a n e r Tour continues...

That's like 3 or 4 Mexican sluggers in a row for FMW.  This won't be close.

SRL beats FMW like he did his dad.  Hearns knocks FMW out at 147.  He couldn't generate enough offense against those two.  Even Emanuel Stewart said, they would czatch up to him in that later rounds, especially Hearns' right hand.

BTW, FMW could out point Duran or Hagler at a catch weight, depending on the day of the week.  Those two never had the one punch power of Hearns or "chase you down" speed of Leonard.

Mexican fighters are no match for FMW.  Hand picking his way to retirement, and he knows Mexicans will jump on PPV to see him get beat.

everyone had fmw winning, except for lederrmen.

The Associated Press had Mayweather winning, 115-111.[2] Also, The New York Daily News scorecard had Mayweather winning, 116-112.[3] HBO's Harold Lederman had Castillo winning 115-111. Even the judges had FMW ahead.

Every fighter on the face of this earth has a victory someone can say the other fighter should have won.

Mexican fighters are the easiest path to his retirement.  That's just how it is unless there is one out there with Sergio Martinez hand speed.

Floyd couldn't keep Hagler or Duran off of him at any weight.  If JL Castillo was competitive with Floyd, I hate to think of what Duran would do.  Duran is a serious all time great.  Probably/possibly the greatest lightweight to ever live.

and ray leonard laughed duran out of the ring because he couldn't hit him.  depending the day of the week, fmw would frustrate him with his defense.  fmw blows but he's no tomato can.  hagler at 147 (they'd never meet above that weight, so he'd get hagler early in his career.  young fmw better than young hagler. hagler was a late bloomer.) doesn't have power, is an accumulative puncher.  fmw has shown he can deal with slow sluggers.

one punch power and speed are fmw's enemies.  leonard and hearns have those areas covered, not duran and a young hagler at 147.

Ray didn't fight a 147 lb Hagler.  I'm sure when Tyson weighed 147 or Larry Holmes or Lennox Lewis weighed 147, Floyd could have beat them as well.  Your vastly underrating Hagler.  Hagler walked through fire with Hearns and took his soul.  Floyd might be able to stay away for a while, but Floyd is no Sugar Ray.  Eventually a prime Hagler would "get" a prime Floyd.  For the record, I think Floyd is capable of being a great fighter.  He has all the tools in the world.  Unfortunately, he is cutting his own legacy short by missing too many guys altogether.  Fighting them when past their primes.  Or insisting on catch weight.

hearns was only beat once at 147 by leonard.  fmw would never fight hagler even at 154.  so, for that fight to happen, they would have had to meet early in their careers, so hagler could make weight. we know about the eye thing that kept a young leonard vs hagler from happening.  hagler got pissed and left the country because he lost to an old leonard.  he would have got creamed and boxed out the ring by a young leonard.  fmw could out point duran.

who should fmw fight?  manny, that's an arum joke, which has been uncovered?  everyone was singing canelo's name the last 1 year.  now, they have a problem when fmw takes the fight.  he should fight boner?  what's the point when you are 37 to take that kind of punishment from a young, upcoming fighter. fmw's days are behind him.  time to collect checks instead of damaged brain cells and leave boxing without a speech therapist.

LOL. I think they are all Floyds fighters as well. Floyd is def hand-picking these hispanics that he knows have no chance! This is just getting sad! Floyd dictates all the terms to his advantage! He might go out undeafeted but not respected!

Duran, Hearns, Hagler, and Sugar Ray all would have taken him out. Out of the 4 mentioned Sugar Ray was the most like Mayweather. He would run and dance away most of the fight and throw punches in bunches then run.

why the hate on floyd he hasnt done anything wrong

he fought the best fighters he could fight at that point in time

he didnt have an easy path becoming famous he earned his right

prime mosley wouldnt touch him and dela hoya didnt even know who floyd was

no one in his generation could beat him in light and welter weight

he is a good fighter but you get better when you lose and for him he didnt lose

he wouldnt be competitive at welter just to small and didnt pack enough power

in light weight overall he can hold his own against most but he loses just like everyone else

to fighter who has his number

FMW is one of the greatest P4P fighters ever

whats gives FMW problems is a great left jab (oscar showed that) combined with speed, you keep FMW off balance with fast jab+ movement, FMW cant get set to do his shit........lead rights......check left hooks............

he beats Hagler easily, superior boxer on styles, hands way too fast for Hagler

Hearns, on styles could beat FMW, if he boxed him with the superior height and reach, Hearns was also a very underrated left jab

ray leonard would get beat, FMWeasily beat fast slick guys with fast hands like mosley and judah

FMW easily over duran, style wise hatton similar to duran- easy to hit, FMW all the way over duran

FMW easily beat castillo in the 1st and 2nd fight

Duran in no way shape or form similar to Hatton. That is a joke. Duran had a very good defense. He was excellent at slipping punches.
At 135 Duran ass-rapes FMJ. At 147 Duran wins, just like he did against Leonard in their first fight. And FMJ is not slick enough to pull off what SRL did in the rematch. Anything above 147 is hard to say because Duran was so far past his prime when he competed at those weights. Hell he was past his prime when he fought Leonard.

That aside, FMJ breezes by Canelo.

duran had sound defense , it was underrated
but he was not difficult to hit

esteban de jesus, palomino, ray leonard, hagler, even barkely all hit him easily

an accurate, super fast hands  puncher liek FMW wouldve potshotted him all night

Quit it already.  Duran was arguably the greatest lightweight fighter in history.

Greatest in history?!?  ??? No matter what he did b4 or after, or whatever weight, "no Mas!" tells the story of Duran's heart when someone is giving him a good fight and not being a punching bag. A real legend would have fought til it was stopped, never mind quit onthe stool, but Duran quit while he could still walk!
