Cool, I started doing them again too..used to do rack pulls as an ego lift first thing in the workout, but just doing 225 rack pulls superset with shrugs at the end of a long back session is enough.

All the permabulkers made fun of Jay cutler dead lifting 315 at the end of his workout.   ::)

I have done training cycles were I was deadlifting between 400-600 pounds at least once a week, usually twice. However the most my back has ever grown in terms of muscular size was regularly doing deadlifts from pins using only 3 plates a side for multiple reps and sets. Plus I didn't feel crushed for the rest of the week from the heavy loads.

Since it's paper, it's value would be a fiction of a controlling authority, rather then the a function of it's scarcity.

It wouldn't technically be subject to the M1 shenanigans of a central bank (because it's fixed), but that could change.

Right, a "decreed" expansion of the money supply that way would be a possibility. But assuming that can't happen (remember, this is a hypothetical), how is that scarce currency different from gold?

Also, how is gold immune to this? Finding gold or silver on the Moon or on Mars will vastly expand the available (theoretical) supply.

That's one of the interesting things about Bitcoin. It's scarcity is based on a mathematical asymptote for generation.

As a computer science person I find Bitcoin interesting for proposing an innovative "solution" to the Byzantine consensus problem. It seems to also fit many of the criteria we have for money, but I don't know enough about it to really comment. In shirt I agree that, in theory, bitcoin as it is now is a good example of the sort of "limited supply currency" I was talking about.

What an odd resonse. If my kid was in the hospital I can guarantee you I wouldn't be chasing low bottom whores and giggling about it on a forum. Neither would most of the fathers I know.

You can only speak for yourself and only when you find yourself in those circumstances, most people think they would run into a burning house to save someone, when the time comes they sometimes freeze.

You cant speak for your friends at all.

Hold a multi currency account with your bank, keep any cash asset as liquid as possible, the gold myth is last century, history already tells us the gold price should be 30 to 40 percent higher than current but it isn't, it was devalued because of the myth and as people started to look to it as an option, even the best market analyst's will tell you they don't have a clue where we are or where we are going.

I would never recommend anyone keep large amounts of cash in the bank.  The government makes all the rules and can change them at any moment.

All fiat currencies eventually return to their true value... zero.  As long as the confidence is maintained, fiat paper has value, but when the confidence is shaken/lost... zero value (i.e. Weinmar Germany, Zimbabwe, Argentina, etc...).

Central banks HATE gold and silver.  It is a competitor against their fiat paper.  TPTB have manipulated the gold and silver prices (to keep them low) for a very long time.  That will end someday... soon.

The spot price of gold and silver may fluctuate, but they always will have value.

I would imagine that the hypothetical fixed currency would fix the scarcity, but then the paper would be valued as a function of the belief in the issuing authority. If the country goes down the shitter, the paper would likely go with it.

And gold is not immune. A ready new supply of gold would change the supply/demand curve.

I am in CS too. BTC is solid mathematically, it's current woes are limitations in the BTC distributed "electronic ledger" and the overall jankiness of the early companies in that space. Central bank organs like GS and JPM want to own the space that BTC now holds. Woe betide us if we let it, as it will again be subject to central bank shenanigans.

incorrect. Hygiene has little to do with excessive build up of oil in the pores of the skin. You can use all the Bp you want and it's not going to do shit. Accutane is really the only fix for those with Severe cystic acne.

If you are talking about the most extreme case like "severe cystic acne" then you might have a point but that is pretty rare.

But I can give you testimonials of hundreds of people from teens to well into their 50's who were able to clear up body acne that looked pretty bad just by washing very gently with a mild cleanser, applying liberal amounts of BP/AHA and sometimes following up with a moisturizer. This is without the need of drugs whatsoever.

Taking a shower 3x a day isn't going to do anything if you're putting the wrong stuff on your skin and actually can irritate it worse if you over wash it.

Here's tons of testimonials from people who have done exactly as I stated and have cleared up their skin dramatically.

ok

if a kid is suffering it means you must spend 24/7 in the hospital, weeks, months at a time

I don't have to deal with it. I'm not the one coming on here telling so many different lies and stories that I don't know what day it is anymore. I tend to doubt about 90% of what you post, including having a sick kid in the hospital.

There will always be currency. In the VERY unlikely event the US dollar is ever actually worthless, we'll all have much bigger problems than we can imagine.

Bitcoin is unregulated and too volatile as an acceptable currency. And how do you go about valuing it as an investment?

Gold, silver, and other metals are good longterm investments in moderation as part of a balanced portfolio. Ray Dalio sees having a bit of gold in one's portfolio as an alternate form of currency as a good idea.

Anabolichalo claims his kid has been in the hospital for months

He has even provided such intimate details as tubes and a bloody nose. He mentions the word "suffering" a lot. But when asked specifically what condition the child has that could demand such a lengthy hospital stay, anabolichalo angrily states it's nobody's business. Would it be reasonable to begin to question the credulity of anabolichalo's tales?
