i think NYSC is about to go out of business.....you heard it here first, i am a member and my gym
nysc 125th is empty after Monday they have lowered the price now to 49bucks for people to join and all
the old members went crazy wanting that price and they said no, so many people cancelled and joined
blink up the street or planet fitness. personally i pay 89bucks for the passport membership i can go to
any nysc and i have been to several throughout Manhattan over the past couple of months and they
are completely empty now. nysc 125th to me is a great gym even though its empty i kind of like the
less crowds but it cannot survive offering 49bucks a month and not giving that price to current members
as well.

not fair for loyal members, anytime u have to lower your price to create business means death is near..run a promotion, bring a friend incentive, i dont know how exactly to drum up business for a gym but there has to be better options then dropping the price.
to me dropping the price = money out of the owners pocket,
he/she needs that money to reinvest into the gym etc..never ever offer cheap prices.

I have been to Tony dohertys gym in Melbourne, Australia...very nice.

PF is $10 dollars a month and caters to lazy people

Bronx bred. My first own place was in white plains then dobbs ferry, now upstate near Syracuse. Funny growing up in the concrete jungle now I live in a log cabin in the middle of my 120 acres.

Yeah - its still there.

I worked out in Golds in both yonkers and WP before it went to PF

I got tossed out of both places too

i loved PH in CC...tons of equipment...not super pretty and clean and they still have metal free weights..my kinda gym

when i moved to up near WP i couldnt drive down there bc it would eat my gas
