One look at his abs and you know he's on gear. (Perhaps he starts injecting for the summer season?) Without it he looks like a normal man of his age, who goes to a fitness centre three times per week.
well, I thought that was obvious.  Its also highly irrelevant, as im sure youknow. Dude would never come off, think of all the years of megadosing it took to get him to the top, its probable that he would have no test left if he didnt inject it. Lol.

besides, why wouldnt he still juice?

Dorian should be glad just to be alive.

Imagine the amount of drugs that has been through his system.

His arms are just as big as Branch's will be when he retires... If he makes it to retirement.

Dorian looks happier now, than when he was competing. So does Shawn Ray for that matter.

I'm 50 and my bodyfat is always at 9-10 percent.

It's true, your chest does start sagging... just like a woman's tits do with age.

This is why I don't have my clients do Declines. Concentrate on Inclines, even higher-than-normal inclines. Chest will sag eventually even if you keep your bodyfat in check.

Some things about getting old do suck, but not everything. Ahhh... to be able to do it all over again. Think how much better and more intelligent we would be?

Look at Andreas Cahling. Shredded to the bone and old... upper chest is history and man-boobs are forming.

Yes, even at 40 you notice a huge decline in almost everything in your physique.

All was good up until 35, past that things started to go haywire and you finally felt that you're starting to grow old.

The feeling at 50 must be that feeling times tenfold.

My plan is that by the time I hit 50, I will be hormonally in my late teens  ;D

Seems like you accept that which cannot be changed or at least not changed through reasonable means. I am learning to do the same all the time. I admire how good someone in their 20's and 30's looks when they commit to being fit by working out. While I wouldn't mind looking like that again, I am a practical person, so I know that isn't going to happen. That is why I give myself credit for being as fit as I am at nearly 70 years of age.

Poor Andreas. Whatever it was that destroyed his looks (was it Bell's Palsy or a stroke? Can't remember now) he has soldiered on. You got to give the fellow credit for that. A lot of weaker people would have caved to the illness. He was a lot better looking than me when he was young. Seeing him today, makes me thankful for the life and good health I've enjoyed all these years.

Good to know about declines. I used to love doing them. Now I use the ISO Lateral wide chest machine. It works the outer pec as well as the lower area, but not as directly as a regular decline bench press.

My man boobs are probably the result of too high a fat percentage. I think it is around 12%. I am working on this some, although I hate cardio because it bores me silly. At my age balance is key. I am somewhat careful about what I eat without being obsessive about it. I exercise to feel good and so it makes no sense to do something that doesn't result in that no matter that it is good for me....speaking of cardio mainly. Hey, at least I don't have a pot belly!  ;D

Sometimes though, you as old as you feel. I think it pays to feel good about yourself regardless of how many years you have on you. I will never be 20 again, why lament about it?

40 felt good.

50 was fine.

60 was okay....wanted to retire, but couldn't yet.

Today I feel great!

In a few days, I will tell you want 69 feels like. Of course this changes from day to day.  ;D

I'll tell you what, for the younger guys reading this thread just realize this: Aging will affect you.

When you are young, you don't think about it.. much.

Blink your eyes and suddenly the years have passed you by.

You can ignore it up to a point, but then there comes a day when you can't put it off anymore.

Nothing is as it "used to be"

How you deal with it will determine how much internal fortitude you had in the first place, and for those of you who find this topic depressing, just remember: Staying in shape to the best of your abilities is a hell of a lot better than letting yourself go, regardless of the little things you notice when you get older. Looser skin, etc.

If you are on this board and you are not a troll or a fat pig who is sitting, hiding behind a monitor, you probably work out. I am sure that the older guys can shed more light on the topic, but for me?

Keep working out and be glad you didn't wait until you were 50 to begin. I've been at it my whole life. You can take some time off here and there, but don't take too long of a break. It will get tougher and tougher to get back what you once had, and if you listen to us older dudes, you will realize that it never be like it was.

Don't let it get you down, let it be a motivation.

BTW, Andreas Cahling just posted today on his FB page what really happened to him.

Read the last sentence carefully.

"It has been said that the legs are the first thing "to give in" for mature athletes. My legs has been a real challenge. I have never shared before that I am missing a nerve in one of my lower legs. The nerve was cut out and transplanted to my face over 10 years ago while a golfball sized tumor was removed from a facial nerve. The tumor was growing real close to my brain so I opted for surgical removal. Surgery took 19 to 21 hours. They told me I would not walk on my own for weeks. I was up and moving 2 days after surgery to their surprise not needing the walkers and canes they brought. While starting to walk I heard the therapist say: "you can not walk yet" and within a few days I was back in the gym. Now you folks are the first to know this part of my life story."

Flirt is your term, not mine.

Actually, I probably tried to advise him to make better choices than to parade is butthole on the Internet wearing a bunny suit or advertise himself for cheap illegitimate massages. We have all seen what happened to some others who went this way, i.e. Derek Anthony. Sometimes and for some people that seamy life is like falling down a rabbit hole (pun intended).

Yeah there are many older men who hang around bodybuilding and always seem to want to "advise" the younger guys, which is pretty much code for you guys sticking your dick in their asses

You wish!

What makes you think your dick is worthy of anyone's ass.

You make me laugh. Young punks like you are like the proverbial saying, "The bigger they are, the harder they fall."

What's that? Is it some old dick stuck in your pussy ass? LOL!

Yes, everything starts to sag. It is the skin and perhaps connective tissue, as well as gyno/man boobs? Look at Michael Douglas in his latest movie "Behind the candelabra", about Liberace. It looks like somebody hanged a size xxl skin on a medium size person.

The decline vs incline press thing- I dont know. You need to also go with exercises that does not hurt your shoulders as you age. My shoulders ( I am 44)  can handle decline presses very well, and when I do flat benches, I arch my back and squeeze my shoulder blades together. I actually set an all time personal record on the flat bench a couple of months ago and I have been training since my 20s, so strength does not go as of yet. But the skin starts to sag and man boobs are lurking. It's depressing. But I think having a muscular chest is better than being skinny with sagging skin. So declines are better than no presses at all.
