as I get stronger I require less and less sets to reach 100 reps total with the same weight,

should I increase total reps to 150 from 100 if I can do 3 consecutive sets of 20+ reps?

would that bring benefits in muscle size and strength?

I find that going higher on the reps gives me the same benefit of going heavy, with better pumps and less chance of injury.

Measure the circumference, perform those 25 rep sets for a month and measure the circumference again.

I once got hell of a strength adaptation from high rep push ups. It was really strange and I would have never guessed it. I upped my push ups from 25 to 35.
