Flutie couldn't do anything in the NFL. And that was when guys were slower and shorter on the offensive and defensive line...Whole different game now.
Flutie did very well in San Diego and Buffalo. Russell Wilson would also like to poop on you. Talent/desire overshadows height anyday.

Flutie could not see over the offensive line but was effective.

You sound like another angry black man. It isn't my fault that Obama is black and ruined the country. If you would back a smart black person like Dr. Ben Carson r Allen West, you wouldn't hear a peep out of me. Oh, wait, its not really about race after all...you dumbshit.

You've been here long enough that very one knows your gimmick.

He was just like Tebow. Stats might not have been pretty, but he was a winner. My Pats should have kept Tebow  :'(

It's true that he could see over the lineman...But his stats prove otherwise on being an effective NFL quarterback. He had one year that we could agree was mediocre.. However he was in his mid to late 30's when he came into the NFL...I'm sure if he played in the NFL full time out of college, his stats would have been much better...He definitely had an arm...Something Tebow doesn't have...

Gimmicks don't have over 19k posts. You accuse me of being racist, I laid it out and you didn't like it. If it makes you feel better, I would choose Ted Cruz as well. So....there you have it, two blacks and one hispanic. It's much easier fo yourself and Little J to accuse me of being racist than to actually use your head.

tebow was no longer a winner with the Jets.  Once they figured out the gimmick of his play, he sucked.

He played in TWELVE games with NY Jets last year.   He was terrible.  BAD footwork, terrible accuracy, and just makes poor decision.  Yes, he's a "leader", but that only goes so far on the field when you cannot hit an open man at 25 yards.  He's good at those oddball broken plays where the defense is all over and a receiver gets open at 17 yards out--- give an reciever 8 seconds, and he'll get open lol.

if he was good enough to play, he'd be playing.  period.

240,.the Jets did nit do shit with Tebow last year. I would be willing to bet that Tebow would have won more games then Sanchez. Tebow has the "it" factor. He has not been given a chance since Denver. He wiuld easily be the best choice for Miami, Jacksonville, and Tampa Bay.

I just can't think that every NFL GM and head coach is all wrong, and the fans are right.

You have to at least agree with me on these things:  He has poor accuracy, footwork, and decision making in the pocket.  Agreed?

I'll concede he has leadership, he has the 'it' factor, etc...

Bottom line - a guy with "IT" should have been DOMINATING against the scrub 3rd string Giants players.  I hate Tom Brady, but he has "it"... he would have hung 63 points on the Giants 3rd string players, even with his own 3rd string receivers.  Tebow scored two TDs, but one was in total garbage time (classless) and the other was on a 7 yard dumpoff where his receiver then juked the shit out of two 3rd strig DBs in open field.

if he had "it" still, he would have been kicking the SHIT out of those 3rd string scrubs.  He was panicked, sacked, throwing INTs and looking confused - against the 3rd string guys.

Aside form the weaknesses in his games, I'll go as far asto say he probably isn't that smart - he was winging it in DEN and he's yet to show he is capable in a game since then when he has to stick to a playbook.

Not to keep picking on Tebow, but people in the NFL and the college he went to said the man is dumber than a box of hammers...Denver had to dumb down their whole offensive scheme and it was the defense who won most of the games...Coach Ryan of the Jets couldn't believe how Tebow presented himself at camp. He couldn't comprehend the playbook and if someone swore around him, he would say something...One guy on the Jets team supposedly told Tebow to shut the fukc up and learn the fucking playbook. lol...

At Patriots camp, Tebow was supposedly so gaga over Tom Brady, he would constantly tell Tom how great he was to point he would tell Tom how good his hair looked on a certain day or that he loved the way Tom dressed. It got so bad that guys on the team would joke to Tom asking him where his boyfriend was if Tebow wasn't around...

Tebow is a shitty practice player. No one can deny the magic he worked in Denver. He beat the Steelers (number 1 ranked defense I think?) In the playoffs. Tebow has been blackballed. Peyton didnt even win a playoff game in Denver  ::)

I was scared of Tebow when my Pats played him in the , 2011 playoffs. He is a winner. Deserves a shot at a starting job in a place like Jacksonville. I would have loved him as my third string qb. What a bargain!

Tebow is a shitty practice player.

This is the NFL.  Pro football with hundreds of millions of dollars on the line.  There are 32 men in this world who are smart, accurate, strong, fast, and prepared enough to run a pro football offense.

This whole "he's not a practice player" is very stupid... If you're the elite, the top 32 out of 7 billion people, then yes, you NEED to be an EXCELLENT practice player.

Not only that, but imagine what happens to a team when Tebow rushes 21 times a game and he gets hurt.  They try rebuilding around that?   ANd why hasn't a guy that good been able to duplcate magic in a freaking PRESEASON game?  He could have went in there and DOMINATED>  Would Peyton have dominated 3rd team scrubs?  YOU BET HE WOULD.   Tebow was throing airballs and getting sacked by guys that'll be bartending next week.

bottom line - if he can't DOMINATE against 3rd string guys, he can't domainte against 1st string guys.

Bro, my favorite team is the Patriots. Tom Brady is my all-time favorite player. With all of that being said, I am sad that the Pats couldn't keep Tebow as the 3rd string option. It would have been a huge bargain. Tebow is easily the best 3rd string qb in the league. Hell, he should be a backup!

tebow didn't win that game - the broncos did.   Insane defense, injured steelers team, overtime, and a receiver gets lucky.  We saw what the decent NE defense did to him the next week, and what everyone has been able to do since then.

At the very least, in this pre-season game with his career on the line, he should have kicked the shit outta 3rd stringers.  They contained him.  they sacked his ass over and over.  They intercepted him and flustered him into missing open guys by 5 yards.

he's an awesome story, a winner in life, a good dude.  But he's no rocket scientist and he's not a good QB.  I can go win 5 straight hands at blackjack with sheer balls, luck, and shiity players around me... doesn't make me a card shark, and I'll go broke playing every week after that.  But yes, everyone gets to shine now and then.  right place, right time, he had a good run.

If the pats did keep a 3rd guy regularly, I could see them keeping him.  And I think if he had been awesome when he finally had the rock in his hand - I could see them justifying it.  But he wasn't any good in his 3rd string start.  I was pretty impressed with the 3 highlight plays... then I saw a stack of 12 other plays - sacks, overthrows, just missing the open man 8 yards out when it should have been him STOMPING people.

Yes, but you don't go from winning a playoff game as a starter, to a dogshit roll with the Jets. Then Get cut as a third string option for the Pats. Tebow deserved a chance at being a starter for the first half of a season.

My team (Patriots) made a mistake by cutting him.

youre giving tebow way to much credit for that playoff win
