She got what she came for. Any women involved in these activities either have abuse issues or something to prove....very odd breed.
I'd say 25% off female mma participant were raped or beat by a man.  It's amusing to see females embrace this physical punishment though. No money in it either.  And like most female sports, a lower level of competition...usually not worth watching, except tennis maybe.

I highly doubt Cris was abused.  It was good career decision for her, once they figured she could excel at it.  No different with girls in soccer, jju (non mma), and capoeira.  You really think she'd earn more in Brasil with no education.  Shit, even if you have an univ education, you only make 1200-1500 reais for years.
