http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/washington--dc-may-institute-24-hour-waiting-period-for-tattoos-and-piercings--183010474.html

Washington, DC officials are considering a mandatory 24-hour waiting period before getting a tattoo or body piercings.
"The licensee or operator of a body art establishment shall ensure that no tattoo artist applies any tattoo to a customer until after twenty-four (24)hours have passed since the customer first requested the tattoo," reads the language of proposed language of new regulations from Washington DC’s Department of Health.

whats next a 24 hour waiting period on alcohol?

I mean thats what generally leads to decisions such as a unwanted tattoo, why not take it one step further and make people wait for alcohol so they can think about the potential consequences of drinking it?

In some states, Republicans force a woman watch a video on fetuses and force them to look at a sonogram before having an abortion.  Some even went as far as requiring a vaginal probe be inserted first.

I disagree with all of that, including the tattoo waiting period.  Its all nonsense.
