I never bought the Hype about him.  Their game plan sucked last year.  They only had him throw short quick passes making it harder to cause INTs and thus padded his stats.  He can't play in traditional offenses.  I am also not sold on Kaepernick.  The guy makes lots of bad throws.

x1000. If RG3 can't run around like a chicken with his head cut off he's not even the best quarterback on the Redskin's roster.
He had a great running game last year and Shanahan protected him by having him throw short pass after short pass.
Dude gets way too much attention. If I had to have a negro quarterback I'd take Wilson anyday over RG3 or Kaep.

props to tony dungy for having the courage to say maybe cousins should be starting if they go 0-3.

RG3 traded to Bucs before Halloween :)

Dungy is right on, though. Everyone thinks because AP was able to come back in less than a year that everyone should be able to do it now. Dungy was right that RG3 definitely doesn't look ready and he still doesn't trust his knee.

Mobile QB's have a shorter NFL life. IMO last year playing hurt cost him a couple years in terms of salary. He's a decent QB, but he won't be mentioned with the greats.

not only that, but fighting to return for Game 1 when he obviously wasn't ready.

He should have pulled HIMSELF from that game in the playoffs last year.  Give his team a 14-0 lead, take that hit, and get outta there.   If Cousins keeps the lead, RG3 has a week to heal and re-elevaluate.  If Cousins tanks it, at least RG's job is safe :)

Shanahan is so scared of RG3 saying "It's him or me" and forcing him to get fired that he won't stand up to his immature QB and tell him that he plays when coach says it's okay.

steve young

randall cunningham

donavan mcnabb

brett farve

michael vick (doesn't run like he use to)

etc, etc, etc.

RGIII doesn't like or has no clue how to slide.  that's why his knee is jack.  russell wilson slides before he passes the line of scrimmage, so he is injury free.  nothing wrong with running, just pick your spots.

all but cunningham and vick were known for their passing not their running. They scrambled when they had to but they werent run first qb's like the new generation.

Agree that there is nothing wrong with running as long as they understand its a pass first career or a run first couple of years.

If youre designing plays to run your qb, your pretty much making him a short term qb.

shanahan just wanted to keep his job... with a playoff run, he did that.

now?  He hasn't designed a single run plan for RG3 this year.  He's ran on some... but that was improv.  Nothing that could get him fired :)

RGIII was an extremely accurate passer at Baylor.  I actually his throwing mechanics are all jacked up because of the knee and that is causing at least as mych of a problem as not running.  He never plants and throws now. Plus he has happy feet in the pocket.

He is one more hit to the knee from being done for good. And with players afraid to hit above the shoulders knowing fines will follow, players legs are in more jeopardy than ever...

Haha.  I was a fan of his at Tenn and said the same thing all the way back then.  But he always has his feet set when it matters.

speaking of Peyton Manning, the ESPN blowjob machine was in full effect today.

he's the greatest QB ever, they will be unstoppable, blah blah blah.

until he gets knocked out of the playoffs yet again..... then they turn on him. .LOL.

I woudl still pick the Bengals to upset Broncos in the playoffs, given the 3 weeks of rust we'll see on Peyton come January.

one thing i never understood:  why did everyone cause themselves so much trouble trying to fit RGIII/kaepernicks dicks into their mouths simultaneously all of last season... when russel wilson tied the all-time record for most TDs by a rookie QB?

shouldn't that pretty much automatically have made him rookie of the year?

???

p.s. 49ers got fucked again ha ha ha

but lol @ the announcing "not a great game for wilson ... kaepernick the best offensive player on the 49ers today"

*throws 3 interceptions*

Lol the bengals aren't bad looking but they aren't in the broncos league offensively, with the new tight end Thomas the broncos are pretty much stacked

And the bengals looked good against a crappy offense with no line, no running game and their best receiver being 5'10 185lbs....

Peyton is the greatest regular season QB ever, but is way down the list as the best playoff QB
