At my sons school, my clients daughter was runner up. Thank the ACLU and public school systems. If he would have lost, suits would have been filed.

You believe that lawsuits would have been filed. This may come as a surprise to you, on account of having the IQ of tepid bathwater, but there's a difference between your beliefs and reality.

But for shits and giggles, in your fantasy, can you tell us what possible argument the ACLU attorneys involved could make to sustain this suit that would not, on its face, be frivolous?

I don't get it either, however is that a prerequisite? The science is pretty conclusive that there are fundamental wiring differences in the brain between males and females – differences that form during gestation.

The processes that guide the construction and the wiring are fairly delicate and can be thrown off by a whole host of factors, from gene transpositions, deletions, transcription errors, alcohol, drugs, etc. Some people even claim that music can influence the process, which spawned a huge industry of people selling Mozart and Beethoven music to pregnant women.

So, is it not possible that through some fuckup during gestation a fetus develops a body that doesn't match the brain's wiring?

As I said, I don't get it – but I don't have to. I can imagine what it must be wake up with a body that doesn't match my "mental" blueprint. And I am convinced it wouldn't be a fun thing or something that could be solved by looking at what is between my legs.

You are over–simplifying and equating gender and sex.

x 2

If nature can f@ck up to the point of people being born hermaphroditic or with 2 heads etc , it's not hard to believe they could be be born with genitals and psyches that don't match.

So children with gender identity issues should fuck off?  Wow!

They choose to be weirdos...they deserve what they get.

So yes, they should fuck off.

I think his point is- he/she won due to pressure and no one else stood a chance. Very predictable in this day and age. Despite the fact the behind closed doors most see him/her as an abomination but make her homcoming queen to make themselves look good/feel good for 'doing the right thing.'

Yes... they "choose" to be weirdos. This kid woke up one day and said, "you know, today I don't only crave a bucket full of dicks, but I want tits and a hole where a vagina would be in a female. I am going to start a long, difficult and expensive process that will may cause me to become the subject of ridicule, may cause me to be alienated from friends and family, and will require me to go under the knife for dangerous operations. It's my choice."

Yeah... that seems sensible.

It's ludicrous to suggest that people choose to be gay, and it's even more ludicrous to suggest that people choose to be transsexual. People play the hands they were dealt, and it's sad that instead of being allowed to play them, they have to deal with assholes like you.

Tell me something, why shouldn't you be the one to fuck off asshole? Do you fancy yourself better, for some reason? Because from where I stand, you are a much more despicable human being that this kid.

I haven't watched the video and, to be honest, I don't particularly care to. If your point is that it's an involved and lengthy process then I will take you at your word. But even then, what does that prove? Well, you seem to suggest that it doesn't prove that she's herself, but what does "being yourself" really mean? You see, I submit that "being yourself" is a lot more about what's in your head than what your body looks like. And if this person's brain is wired as female, then isn't "being yourself" projecting a feminine outward appearance?

An abomination? Really? Frankly, any person who thinks that should take a good, long, hard look in the mirror.

If someone is born with both, that's one thing.  If someone has an operation to remove or add a dick, they deserve any ridicule.  People have become seriously shot over the years. Pull this stunt 50 years ago, the doctor would tell the patient to kindly fuck off.

Hard to say whether all of that is genetic or not.  At this point there is more speculation than proof.

I want one of you lefty assholes...JUST ONE, tell me how you drew the conclusion that I gave a shit whether she/he won or not. I didn't post ONE derogatory comment on her/him winning one way or the other. What I stated about the ACLU filing suit was justified. She was nominated and she won, end of story, good for her BUT...if she would have lost and even though she/he might not have complained about it, you could bet your ass the ACLU would have stepped in.

You atheists complain and file lawsuits everyday against Christianity and having Christian symbols where you don't like them to be claiming Christians are ramming Christianity down peoples throats, but when a something like this happens and the worlds media is all over it...what do you call that??

Exactly...there is no argument but with the history of ACLU protecting it's own, you can bet something would be made of it. In case you weren't aware, they run the PS systems. They would make up some PC shit about intolerance.

If someone is born with both, that's one thing.

Is it now? Why is that one ok and the other isn't? Because you don't get it? I'd bet that books can be written on what you don't get. Should all those things not be ok?

If it's possible for the gestation process to go so wrong as to create a human with both male and female genitals, is it really so far fetched I believe that it could also create a human whose brain is stamped "females but whose body is stamped "male" or vice-versa?

If someone has an operation to remove or add a dick, they deserve any ridicule.  People have become seriously shot over the years. Pull this stunt 50 years ago, the doctor would tell the patient to kindly fuck off.

Maybe, maybe not. The first procedure took place in the '30s according to Wikipedia. I'm inclined to think it'd have happened sooner but general surgical techniques likely weren't there yet.

As for what would have happened fifty years ago... the answer is many weird things. About fifty years ago, in 1963 there were "white only" lunch counters and anti-miscegenation laws were still on the books.

But all that aside, why should people who elect to have this surgery to make their body more closely match what is in their head be mocked and ridiculed?

Yes... the problem is demented plastic surgeons who do anything for money. ::)

And that's exactly why the ACLU would never get involved. It was not a school board decision, it's something voted on by the students. Don't see how a rational adult would even think of the while ACLU scenario.  :-\

Before I address your specific points, let's get one thing straight: there's exactly  a zero chance that the ACLU would have gotten involved if this teen didn't get elected homecoming queen. You assert they would have, but then again, you assert many things, many of which are flat out stupid.

Now, onwards:

Huh? The ACLU runs the public school system? That's a nice joke...

Your disdain for the ACLU is silly. You likely know little about the ACLU, and what you do know is what you've heard on talk radio or read on blogs of questionable accuracy. Their record isn't blemish-free but more often than not they've been on the right side of the issues. Whether you agree with that or not is irrelevant and doesn't change the facts.

The simple fact is that they are fighting for your rights, and they've won significant battles on your behalf. And, unlike you, they are principled. They defend free speech even when they find the speech abhorrent.

Sorry dude, but I have contracts with two public schools, one in LA county, one in Orange County and I'm an on staff coach at another. Even though we are considered outside contractors, we have to go through the same procedures as a teacher or team coach. Employment application Live scan, physical (DOT physical thats make NO sense) blood test, CPR (and even though I have a current one I was still forced to take their CPR classes). This was for ONE district. I have to do this for each district I coach in.

Every piece of paper I filled out had an ACLU stamp on it. I get complaints from teachers and coaches that there are certain things they can't do because of ACLU restrictions unless they go through the red tape. If an athlete can't afford to play the sport of their choice, the other parents have to distribute the costs so that player can be on a team, these are rules set by the ACLU. The average cost for each football player for example, is $14-1600 PER player. my son's school for baseball is between $2-3000 per player per season.
