Some kids, school lunches are the only food they get. However, the new meal tickets items are ridiculous. Don't see how they could muster the energy to stick around to play sports after school.
It's the poor diet, dietary restrictions my ass. Some school's lunches and breakfasts are laughably inadequate, and many tend offer fatty, and or high sugary content.
If you go to a 7/11 in a poorer neighborhood and see the drinks and goods in there vs one in a richer neighborhood, you see the difference. The richer neighborhood's 7/11 has juices and drinks that are not in the poorer neighborhood's 7/11. Drinks like Naked, Odwalla, Bolthouse Farms, or MuscleMilk. You'll see a variety of protein bars as well. And dried fruit cups. Along with varies assorted goods.
Also, have you ever stood in line at grocery store and have seen what people buy with their EBT cards? Junk food...and it makes me sick! Candy bars and a soda?
