Admittedly disappointed in Jay's showing.   Looks like 240 was right......the pics were an illusion.  A top 6 for Jay will happen though.

Big Ramy won't be 3rd or 4th; in fact, he won't make top 6.  He's got plenty of time....he'll be back and better.

For me this year is not about Wolf (although the big German looks fantastic).  For me I thought Roelly was awesome!  That's a Mr. O to me....big, round, sharp.....dude has everything I like about bb.  As Fux once put it "you gotta have bowling balls all over you".....that's Roelly....he's in top 3 for me.

Kai looked like Kai...top 5.  

Wolf is HUUUGE....like him this year.  I put him over Kai and aligned with Roelly.  From the knee up he's incredible, from the knee down he's an above average gym rat...he calves are like Yates' torn bicep/tricep arm....glaring weakness.   I'm sure he trains the heck out of them and they just don't respond.  Big Ron had horrible calves too and he's got 8 sandows....what're you gonna do?

Branch looked like Branch.....top 12.  I followed Branch as a local amateur in Texas.  He was tremendous then.  Today he looks awesome in the gym.

Rhoden looks great, but I'm not a fan yet.  Don't hate the dude and seeing him top 6 wouldn't upset me.  Everyone compares the dude Flex Wheeler.  LOL!  He ain't close to Flex Wheeler yet.

Dex looked great, but Dex always looks great.  The question is does his same greatness look greater than the current line up?  Sometimes yes, sometimes no.   If he is top 6 I wouldn't be mad either.

There were some other American and Euro bbs too.....all meh.

So who won?  Easy, Phil Heath....3-peat.....no doubt.  Nothing else to say.  Wolf had 50 pounds on him and is shredded and I still say Phil.

I like Phil, Roelly, Wolf, Kai, Jay, Dex, Rhoden, Ramy, Vic in that order.   Although I'm very aware Roelly won't get second....top 6 would be a gift for him.

Don't know if I'll get to watch tonight, but the 2013 Mr. Panty has been fun so far!!

Oh yeah, why do the women have 30 categories now?

What about Beyeke? No one is saying much about him. I thought he looks great and deserves top 4 or 5.

you can't fake muscle.  There are kids playing basketball on the playground right now at 8% body fat.  Most of us could go "all out" and get shredded in 12 weeks.   Nobody doubted Jay would be ripped.

Did he originally plan to just 'play up' the angle that he'd complete, then quietly remove his name from the running 6 weeks out, like he did in 2012?  Maybe.  Shawn Ray sure made sure that didn't happen by predicting exactly that.  Jay had to compete, and props to him, he did.

You can't fake muscle.  You can't use machines to build muscle in 12 weeks while you're dieting.  You can't do it at 40 years old. 

I give Jay props for following thru, even if that wasn't his original intention.  I predicted in 2011 that we'd never see Jay on the stage again, and I was WRONG about that.  Without the shawn ray accusation, would Jay have competed?  Who knows.

Whatever the case, he will be top 6 so he can be part of that final posedown, even if his physique might not be the 6th best onstage.  Enjoy the night, let the fans cheer for him, let his entourage talk about how he just missed his peak.  The pics were more and more cropped, more and more hiding the left arm, for the last few weeks.  Calf pics stopped coming.  Zero back pics.  Everyone knew why.

Will it tarnish his legacy?  Nah.  He was one of the best of our generation, but like Ronnie, he stayed around one show too many.  We think of Ronnie at his peak, not that depleted, injured mess he returned with for a gift 4th place.  Props to Jay!!!!!!!!!

I don't know. I just don't "get" Heath. He's got the best back Double Biceps and a freaky body part (arms) beyond that I don't see where he is Mr O.

Wolf by far the most impressive. Sure he lacks calves but he is the biggest most muscular guy on the stage.

Rhoden looks great but has a weak back.

Winklaar looks really good here. I think Beyeke looks good too. These two guys are the biggest suprises for me.

Kai...he missed the mark but still good enough for third or fourth.

Dexter is Dexter. He looks good. No freaky body parts, not the most muscular. Well proportioned, aesthetic, full with no weaknesses.

Jay....he probably deserves 8th place at best.

Yep good points id say with the Improvements Roelly has made in just the past year alone with his over all Balance and Conditioning a Top 6 spot would be well Deserved and earned...whether that actually happens we will soon see.
