Compared to downtown East Van your area is a Church picnic.

I was on the mainland and took a wrong turn and found myself there on a Friday night. Was waiting for the GPS to redirect me and then I heard a big "THUMP!!" some fucking junky was hitting my vehicle with a boot and swinging it around. He fell down as an RCMP officer was approaching (cool as a cucumber, totally used to this BS) and just kind of gestured for him to go to the sidewalk. Bunch of bloody rigs fell out of his jacket and he just left them there.

Looked to the sidewalk and everyone was sitting on stoops huffing from crack pipes, walking down the street with a mad crack swing or in a corner heating up some dope to shoot right in the open. I knew it was rough but I've never seen such a huge concentration of people smoking and shooting dope in the open. :-X

I noticed a lot of pawn shops in that area while I was there. Gee, I wonder why  ::)

It's everywhere. True zombies...it's sad when you see 16-18 yr olds who are heroin addicts, and that is common.

No kidding. I keep hearing things about kids in elementary school selling weed and coke. WEED AND COKE!?!?!?! I knew what weed was back then, but I barely even knew what coke was until I was in high school. It's so sad when kids are barely in high school and they're taking off their shoe strings to lace up and shoot up. My fuck. It's so sad.

Those types of people are the worst. I don't like scuzzy drug addicts hanging out around me in large numbers, but I can easily empathize with them. They're addicted, and even for the most mentally stable and strong it can be a hell of a journey to get clean and sober. But people like pawn shop owners and slumlords are a million times worse. They're healthy and fully cognizant and know that they're ripping off people who couldn't be more down on their luck. Absolutely despicable.

I'm glad the Canadian Conservative government didn't close the Vancouver Insite. They give addicts a place that's safe and secure to use their drugs. People freak out and say it's supporting their drug habit, but it's better to do it there with nurses on site than in a children's playground with used rigs (always HIV and hep pos, always) or finding bodies in the streets. People are too scared to talk about the drug people because they might get mixed up as supporting drugs. No one wants to support hardcore drug use, but we all share a common vision in mitigating it. And treating this issue as a criminal one isn't helping, because everyone knows a junky will go to any length to get high. Give them some love and medical treatment. You'll find less rigs on the sidewalk and fewer bodies in the street. Heck, maybe they'll completely recover, get a job and pay taxes like other supportive members of society. Just a thought.

I had never seen anything like it anywhere in my life. At least its concentrated in that area whereas in other cities it's scattered all around. Man, I stayed in gastown which I thought would be ok not knowing how close I was to the zombies. First day there, just as you noticed I saw people hitting their crack pipes in broad day light and people scattered all along every alleyway huddled around shooting up.

Needless to say I moved to burnaby shortly after that.

The whole mainland is insane now. I'm brown, jacked, and rock a man purse (yes, a murse) and damn near everyone thinks I'm a gangster when I go there. Heaven forbid I wear a Gucci or Armani t-shirt, people will walk way out of their way to go around me. Feels bad that young brown dudes get stereotyped like that, but I guess our demographic did it to ourselves. They all work 24/7. Drug market never closes. It's sad.

You should follow Kim Bolan's blog, The Real Scoop, as she covers all the G news from the mainland. She's covering that crazy Surrey Six trial where a couple of low level G's killed 6 people in a brutal and unimaginable fashion. They told some kid to pay a $100k tax for slinging in their area and he didn't pay up. So they were get him to visit them at the Balmoral and shoot him. But instead they ran into some snags and ended up grabbing innocent people and shot 6 in total including a tenant of the building and a dude fixing fucking fireplaces.

They didn't get out-of-town hitters, did it during broad daylight, kid drove his own fucking car to the scene, tons of witnesses, no escape plan, shot them all in their drug house (runners would pick up from the apartment and a couple cooks cooked crack), etc.... the stupidest and most brash hit I can think of. Usually they just pistol whip and rob each other. And the only time innocents get caught in crossfire are when big time G's are targeted in a hit but this was more senseless than ever.

I think the trial resumes on Tuesday. It's been really interesting shit. A lot of my Asian friends moved there and to Alberta to sell drugs and half of them are dead or wearing bulletproof vests. Any time they come ask me to party in Van I tell them "fuck no". Bunch of stupid wannabe gangsters. By the time they make it, they've got a hit on their head and the clock starts ticking. A couple days ago my old neighbor just ended up in the news paper. He was shot execution style in his backyard. I wonder if he still feels like a G now...

I'm not in bc right now bro but possibly going right back.

I was planning on getting into the drug business but reconsidering after your post here.  ;D

Really though, it goes to show it doesn't matter where on the planet you are, if you're looking for trouble you'll find it.

Seriously I'm going through a third renaissance with my pot smoking what a blast. It's like  learning to run blind folded. I'm starting to believe by far the best way to push yourself forward is to set yourself back. How else can one adapt without challenges.

When somebody has as many mental problems as you, it is not wise to do pot.

Trust me, my arrhythmia was not anxiety.

But thats because I had been smoking meth for a couple days and I started smoking weed to relax. Upper+downer (that increases heart rate)= massive cns confusion.
(Worse than IV mixing meth and heroin)

terrible night.

I remember the lightening fast punches Johnny. Those strikes appeared devastating and too fast for the camera to capture their full glory.

LOL, I have an anxiety disorder as it is. Getting as high as humanly possible is not a good idea for me. I admit I'm a little faggy and beta that way. :D

But why did you ever stop smoking Falcon if you are so alpha?

I know someone who takes a big hit and immediately has to do push-ups, chins or just jump around... is this common behavior for stoners? :D

Used to hapoen to me with coke all the time. .what I didn't realize was I had adult acid reflux and the cocaine aggravated it.

So I would whack down a few lines....everything is honky dory, feeling good....then after about an hour and a decent amount of blow....I start getting sharp pains in my "chest" which is really the acid in my esophagus.

but now I'm high as fuck and truly believe I'm having a heart attack.....this snowballs and now I'm nervous as fuck...heart is pounding out of my chest because I'm freaking out... and I truly think I'm going to die....I went so far as to drive myself to the emergency room twice.

One day I just chewed on a few Tums and a Gas-X and It was gone in seconds.

My god this brings back memories!! Had that exact problem.

this because it jacks up your heart rate. also not nearly everyone has this mentality to do pushups and do shit right after there high this is the alpha approach to getting high

you take the beta approach and dont lift im guessing you just sit there and maybe giggle and stare like a zombie

i cant handle the shit the stuff makes my heart beat over 120bpm fuck that its too intense, if i were to do pushups with that starting heart rate id be pageing god

Yeah man. Junkies see me and think I'm working a phone or running a line and immediately ask me if I'm selling crack. I try to not go out at night on the mainland. Being jacked and brown means inevitable trouble.

Tried pot when I was a kid.  It didn't work out for me. I am a control freak and it made me paranoid.
