Danny just got KTFO
shizz was right this guy is always injured
Patriots receiver Danny Amendola suffered a scary head injury Sunday, on a hit by New Orleans safety Rafael Bush. Amendola lowered in his shoulder while running after a catch, possibly in an attempt to get to the first-down marker, and took what may have been a helmet-to-helmet hit from Bush. Amendola slumped to the turf immediately after the contact, dropping the ball in the process. He had to be helped to his feet, then woozily walked to the Patriots’ locker room, stopping on more than one occasion to turn back toward the field. Bush was not flagged for a penalty on the play — Amendola was running with the football, so the hit was exempt from the “defenseless receiver” rule — but he could receive punishment from the league. Amendola has an increasingly dense injury history, including a concussion suffered back in 2009. A groin injury has limited him to just three games this season, and he quickly was ruled out of Sunday’s action following this play. The Patriots’ next game is on Oct. 20, against the Jets in New York.
