Do you think Columbus discovered America first?
« on: October 14, 2013, 03:24:49 PM »
Not a chance in my opinion. They have Viking settlements on the Northeast coast, that pre date Columbus by 300-400 years.

I also think an ancient civilization/s have been to America.

Romans, Athenians, Persians, Egyptians, Chinese, Carthaginians etc.... Could have found America by mistake.  Hell, even an Irish priest is said to have sailed to America before Columbus.

Happy Columbus day!

Technically, America as a "thing" didn't exist when Columbus landed.

True, but I believe he gets credit as the first "outsider" to discover the continent.

First to claim it for his country? That would be the better question.

I would also like to read a book about Columbus's ship logs.  He was known to have seen some weird shit, including ufos. Would make for a great read I bet.

And Bullshit. America was called Arsereth in the Bible. It's even in the "Jewish" encyclopedia. Look it up. I swear some of you are idiots.

Leif Ericson The Norwegian apparently created a settlement around 1010 in Newfoundland. He flitted around Greenland and Iceland after being kicked out Norway.

But the Red Indians were already there.  They came from Asia 12,000 years ago when Asia and North America were still joined and wiped out the Eskimos apparently.

You're right on the first section and wrong on the second section.

I actually believe you to a certain extent. The landmass that we call America was kniwn to people far earlier than Columbus could ever dream of.

Maybe as far back as the first boats could sail large distances. We are talking thousands of years ago.

It doesn't matter.  It was Columbus's voyage that started one of the greatest human migrations ever.

Everyone knows that indians were already there. Leftovers from the mass continental migrations. We are talking about outsiders.

"this country, every Brick is cemented ... by the blood and sweat of Negroes".

Tony Blair apologised for the slave trade on which England's prosperity was built, but the descendants of the working-class that lived and died in appalling poverty and degradation in the city may have to wait a while for any expression of regret.

As I said Americas name was called Arsareth. It's fact. And yes, the Red Indians were here before but they weren't called the Red Indians. They were called Israelites and they spoke Hebrew. This is a matter of fact and there's plenty of evidence. Shithead Columbus knew this and took an Israelite with him to America. They enslaved, raped and nearly wiped out the Indians. Including destroying their culture. This is historical fact that is hidden from the public. Red Indians were the 10 Northern Tribes. The Mormons know this, it's part of their religion.

You'll have your "proofs" this evening or tomorrow.

Untrue, particularly in the industrial north.
