there's a vast difference between "tight" and "fitting appropriately". for most guys, even fairly muscular dudes, a size L shirt is fine. holds to the body, shows off the muscle, etc. but squeeze into an M and you look ridiculous.
and unless you never work your legs out at all, there's no way a lifter should be able to fit into skinny jeans to begin with. i accidentally bought a pair of slim fit jeans and they've been sitting in a drawer because the damn things can barely get over my thighs, even though the waist is super loose.
