Bodybuilder of the Year Award goes to Ronnie Coleman, as the Big Nasty rolled to his record tying eigth consecutive Mr. Olympia title.
Runner-Up Award goes to Gustavo Badell, the Freakin' Rican, who opened the year with a victory at the Ironman Pro, took third at the Arnold Classic, and third at the Olympia. Plus, he beat Ronnie Coleman in the Mr. Olympia Challenge Round.
New Kid on the Block Award goes to Branch Warren, which took back to back victories at the Europa Supershow and the Charlotte Pro, and 8th place at the Olympia.
Rookie of the Year goes to Mark Dugdale, for placing 8th at the Ironman, 9th at the Arnold, and 6th at the San Franciso.
Comeback of the Year goes to Troy Alves, for placing 3rd at the Ironman after a 15th place finish at the 2004 Olympia.
Most Overlooked Award goes to David Henry, which should of finished higher in all of the shows that the competed in. One good thing - he won the Olympia Wildcard Contest.
Most Entertaining Award goes to Melvin Anthony. Great routines.
Runner Up Entertainment Award goes to Frank Roberson, but it is time to come up with a new outfit.
Most disappointing Award goes to Alexander Federov, who received a lot of publicity, but finished in a tie for last at the Olympia.
Most Altruistic Award goes to - well, this is a group award to all of the folks who gave their time and money to participate in Shawn Ray's Gold Fundraiser, for the benefit of Children's Hospital of Orange County, raising over $30,000.
Most Creative Award goes to Dan Solomon, who developed 'Pro Bodybuilding Weekly', an interet radio show.
Best Hair Award goes to J.M. Manion, although he bobbed and weaved around questions concerning the ligitimacy of his crop during Olympia Weekend.
Most Ripped Award goes to photographer Irv Gelb, who had his new shirt torn to shreds by a security crew as he tried to get into the NPC Junior California contest without a ticket and they stopped him the hard way.
