You really tried ordering that here? Damn dude, did you also try ordering spinning hubcaps for your mid 80's Cadillac and a bud light lime while you were at it ? Lol

Bench

Yeah I really did.  It was, after all, an "upscale" hotel.   And ordering cognac at a Grand Hyatt usually isn't considered gauche.  Except in Texas.  Whatta place.  25% of all kids live in poverty (higher than anywhere else in the US), abysmal literacy rate, record drunk driving fatalities, most executions.  Let's stop there.

Yea, but taxes are low, so reap the whirlwind: Chow down at McDonalds with confidence:  Your grown kid is at the counter preparing your order.  Education wasn't good enough to do more, and perish the thought of leaving The Great State of Texas.

See,  the future of Texas' kids is much less important than "keepin that cost o' livin down." To Texans, that is, or at least to most of them.

What an impeccable place.  Yes, indeed, bag the Remy Martin in Texas.  Beer n' Whisky - an' keep them prices low, or else.

I think I'll tough it out in California.  It's hard, I know, but not everyone can fit into Perry's Paradise.

The children's poverty rate in based on stats that include the insane amount of Mexican kids that live in Texas and attend the schools.  Same thing with the illiteracy rate.  I would suspect a Nancy Pelosi and Jerry Brown loving liberal to put down this great state.

You can thank Governor Perry for that problem.  He won't fix it because the Texas shitkickers who tell him what to do like it fine the way it is - an uneducated workforce that they can pay peanuts to and race China to the bottom in garnering low-wage manufacturing business.

What a great state!!!

And I heartily dislike Nancy Pelosi.  But, after forty years, I can't say that I have yet figured out Jerry Brown.

There's a taco restaurant in Houston called Torchy's Tacos that I'm secretly hoping somebody burns down to the ground.   It's not that I'm condoning arson, I just like irony.    ;D

I'm not into latinas, white chicks or blacks chicks so much but much prefer Asians.

I didn't know NYC had many?
I knew Ca and Seattle did though.

More power to yuh, Pardner.

I like Texas, too.  Once I was in Dallas at one of those faux elegant mainstream hotels you appear to savor.

I went to the bar for a nightcap. I motioned to the bartender: "One cognac, please, Remy VSOP if you have it."

"What's cone yak?" came the response.

I grant you that girls call you sugar (sometimes cause they find you repulsive), that there's a goodly supply of both guns and bimbos, and you certainly are not going to get winded going up inclines - there aren't any.

Flatland.  In more ways than one.  Enjoy.

LOL @ "faux elegant" I bet you're quite the baller too. Sounds like the bartender caught up with your phoniness and simply was trying to be polite.

Are you the kinda of "guy" with a fake British "accent" who corrects people when asking "I want chauck, not cack, if you dearly please to do so?"

LOl oh brother this place will never stop to amaze me.

And polite he was.  Once he learned what cognac was, he had one for me the very next day.  He had worked there about a year, and had never heard of it.  35 years old.  These things happen.  In Texas.  But everyone is polite.

No.  Nor do I understand what your last sentence means.

That could be good or bad.

Everything depends on you, Baller.  Say and do the right thing and ye shall be free.  Except in Texas.

You know oddly the mexican food isn't that great down here. All Tex-Mex, where is the authentic stuff?

TeX mex is Mexican food according to the USA real Mexican food is corn tortillas and cactus and cheap parts of the animal mainly goat , but you have money its plenty of beef . When I was working down there , some clients for TransCanada were discussing they couldn't wait to eat some real Mexican food , so I put my drink down and leaned to them and said y'all ain't getting any enchiladas down here and they looked at me puzzled as I lifted up my drink I raised a brow right at them and carried on ..
