TeX mex is Mexican food according to the USA real Mexican food is corn tortillas and cactus and cheap parts of the animal mainly goat , but you have money its plenty of beef . When I was working down there , some clients for TransCanada were discussing they couldn't wait to eat some real Mexican food , so I put my drink down and leaned to them and said y'all ain't getting any enchiladas down here and they looked at me puzzled as I lifted up my drink I raised a brow right at them and carried on ..

Been there not alot of diverversity and the Mexican food sucks and no y'all didn't invent chilli either and why is it green ?
Just flew back from DFW today. Spent two days in downtown Dallas for the second time in a month and just loved it. Stayed at the Omni Hotel downtown, 220$ a night gets you a 4 stars level room you would pay twice for anywhere else. People are nice, all gals call you honey, sugar pie and/or sweetheart. I just love it there. Everything is just bigger and better. I heard in the past that Dallas-Fort Worth was dirty and ugly, I don't get it, quite the opposite. There's also an optimism and desire to be good people that intangibly floats in the air. I actually had trouble with my rental, so pulled over on the express way. took about 5 minutes for someone to pull behind me to see if need help. I said I was on the phone with Hertz and they're sending someone. "Well, wanna beer while we wait" pull a Rubbermaid cooler, just because. Here in Cali, it's most likely you get hit by a mattress flying off a S10 Mexican pickup truck. Just saying...
Hard to respect a state where the governor held a prayer rally in hope of rain. Who the fuck does that?
You know oddly the mexican food isn't that great down here. All Tex-Mex, where is the authentic stuff?
new mexico is 20 X's better
Dallas, Austin, Houston... I love the gun laws... Not a big fan of some of the MegaChurch crowd that seems to be there... I do like their views on football though.
I suspect it makes a big difference where you live in Texas. My daughter, her husband and son live in Texas. They think it is a hell hole. My son-in-law is stationed at Fort Bliss which is in El Paso. A longtime friend lives in a suburb outside Dallas, she loves Texas, which saying something since she is a native Oregonian. The last time I was in Texas, I was a little kid. All I remember is that it was so incredibly hot....like an oven.
aside from the economy i wouldnt move to houston
whys that?Houston is great its got great food, diversity, lots of shit to do for every age group
diversity is overrated
You really tried ordering that here? Damn dude, did you also try ordering spinning hubcaps for your mid 80's Cadillac and a bud light lime while you were at it ? LolBench
hahah El Paso, fuck what did he do to get stationed there?I hunt not to far from el paso and there isnt shit around there really so yea it would suck to be stuck there
Apparently, it is the biggest base in the U.S. I don't think you have to "do" something to get stationed there. He's had three completed deployments, two to Iraq and one to Afghanistan. He was sent on a forth, but after about a month, the tour ended for the hole brigade. Maybe it's were you go after you had the good fortune to be stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii for almost 5 years like he was.
I always wanted the Gatling gun (nice shiny one) is that machine legal in the mighty Texas.
it was a joke there hoss ease up, El Paso is a shit hole is my point
