I stopped at #5 that Mudder is a mofo.

TM is a good time and they let people skip things.  The obstacles themselves are not easy though and mess w you like the ice bath, the electrocution, and the leap of faith

There is a penalty w Spartan Race of 30 burpees if you fail something and w Go Ruck you keep the pace or you drop out.

They are all fun events - but I shy away from some of the fly by night operations since the obstacles are not safe, and who the F wants to go home injured due to a shitty company just setting up bs?

LOL - I can only imagine.   Maybe he can do something like Zombie Run and just dress Vissy up in that witch outfit to chase people around the course?   ;D

Let me know if you find any good running shoes. I tear through mine fast.

Well obviously you're not 'tearing through them fast' due to running or activity so my advice is try eating less.

So I start my journey to getting my fat ass in shape for this run tomorrow morning. I have approx 6 months to be ready, I currently weigh around 350-360 need to get my BW down to 240-250 area to do this. For all that are new to the board I fluctuate BW very drastically very easily. One year I may be 240 the next 340 the next 400. It is just something I do depending on what my goals and objectives are. My question is have any of you done one of these and if so how did you train for it?

I have been around the sport of running for a few years cause my wife is a runner but she has never did anything like this. We are running in honor of a team mates deceased father. Hopefully this damn thing dont kill us.

Any good advice would be helpful, any smart ass comments will just be chuckled at :)

Do everything you ABSOLUTELY can to get that weight off immediately. Find a Registered Dietitian that does consulting work, get on a good diet and start cardio.....like yesterday.

Thank you WW.  It was actually easy for me. I'm 6'0" on the dot with a slight frame, so weighing 300 was very very difficult. As soon as I dropped the Anadrol, Test and Dianabol, weight poured off me. I also went from 4,000-5,000 calories EVERY SINGLE DAY to 2,500- 3,000 clean calories daily. I rode the stationary bike one (1) full hour seven days a week. No exceptions. I'll find a few before & after pics and post them.

The gts14 are $120....sure they could handle your twinkish frame, but what about my beastly mass pounding them on the trail?

As noted, foot care is critical for anyone, especially someone as big as you. Be consistent, drop the anabolics, eat clean and the weight will pour off.  240 is still huge but you'll be able to run 10K successfully.

I have gone from 303 to 190. Big cardio was a huge part of doing it.

I will for sure be investing in some very very good foot wear, as for the anabolics aint touched anything in over 3 yrs. Cleaned the diet up pretty good thus far, I'm down 50 since July but need to drop a lot more. I've added cardio and will gradually be bumping it up over the next 6 months.

HIIT training worksbest for me.   As for footwear for bigger guys.   Brooks Glycerin are my fav.   Nike Pegasus 29 are also good.
