For example, i see BB-contests as something from the Medieval days, where they showcased their livestock

yeah, the original DotD was an awesome little piece of satire. nowadays it's just because of hero fantasy. everyone wants to think that in a zombie apocalypse they'd be rugged and tough enough to survive. reality is that pretty much all of us would get our shit wrecked early on.

Also one of the best movies of all time. You especially see it sing true on Black Friday, people get killed over that shit.
