The Titus Trial Office Pool
« on: January 05, 2006, 09:34:14 AM »
Alright guys, let's build a list of all the possibilities of outcomes for this Titus trial, (including sentences as tie-breakers perhaps) and build up an office pool.

Entry fee can be 20 bucks, and we can get Ron or someone trusted to hold it all for a small share.

The first to respond on this thread get first pick on the spots on the game board.

Speak on it!

Craig
plead- no time
plead -  0 to 5 years
plead - 5 to 10 years
plead 10 to 15 years
plead 15-20 etc etc

Not guilty - walk
Guilty - probation
Guilty - 0-5 years
Guilty 5-10 years
Guilty 10-15 years
Guilty 15-20 years
etc etc
Then death row, as well.

Same stuff Kelly too?

We gotta build all the possibilities before people start calling spots.

Craig - guilty of something 5-10 years, primarily on the parole violation - he's a free man by Spring 2010, but he isn't allowed to vote anymore

Kelly - the arson charge doesn't stick, so she gets credit for time served and never sees another day in prison

Whatever Kelly gets Craig will complain that it wasn't a high enough sentence.  Kelly will stay after to talk to the judges to see how she could do better next time.

That's the whole thing... the autopsy has already been done: she died of strangulation... she didn't OD. So someone is gonna do a lot of time for this; she didn't strangle herself.

Assuming this was the result of a spur-of-the-moment rage, which the cause of death would seem to support, the lack of premeditation would take the death penalty or even life w/o parole off the table.

So, if the "doer" is craig, I'm guessing he does around 20 years (of a 20-life sentance) given his past criminal history.

If Kelly rolls on him and convinces the prosecutors she wasn't involved until afterwards, she prolly won't serve much more than 5 years.

This all assumes that Craig did the deed. It Kelly did it, or if Kelly fails to turn on Craig, this obviously changes things a lot.

I'm with you on this one Goatboy... depending on whether evidence can show any kind of pre-meditation will determine the chance of death penalty...and if it was an act of out of control rage w/o pre-med...then he should get life with no parole

Probation. He cut a deal, plus it sounds like he really didn't do much anyway.

hang on...  is it $20 per bet i.e. $20 for Craig, $20 for Kelly, $20 for 3rd guy or $20 for all three?

Will Ron volunteer to hold our money?
