This is Australia, citizens don't press charges, and the Police are obligated to arrest the Man.  If you look at the Police Guidelines on domestic violence, it essentially says Men are only perpetrators and women are only ever victims. The 'CODE OF PRACTICE FOR THE INVESTIGATION OF FAMILY VIOLENCE' used by the Police as a guideline in domestic abuse situations suggests that Police can pursue all avenues of inquiry and investigation to identify the predominant aggressor or offender and arrest them, the definition of the word 'predominant' means 'present as the strongest or main element.'  And who is the strongest element in a domestic between a man and a woman?   So a woman can hit her man all she likes, but he isn't able to defend himself because he is considered the 'predominant offender'
This is upheld by our feminist Court system. Australia is a feminist Country.

The 'CODE OF PRACTICE FOR THE INVESTIGATION OF FAMILY VIOLENCE' has at the end of it support servicdes for victims of domestic abuse, their are hundreds of phone numbers to support women and yet their is ONE for men, and that a support line for men who admit to being abusers.
