both genetics and acquired, learned behaviors are at play, nature AND nurture, nothing too complicated to figure. Fact is we blindly reproduce our direct ancestors past thinking we have a clue what "we" are doing when we re just repeating strategies of survival over and over again that have been used by people before us. And the shit repeats itself over and over again generation after generation.


BTW, when a flying bird detects a pond, a place filled with trees full of fruits etc, it is recorded in its brain, and ...sperm, then it reproduces, then dies, and in the next generation, his offspring, the data, informations are recorded into the offspring genes and it "knows" where are these places without ever seeing them with its own eyes. Every single life form is just a bunch of recorded data, strategies of survival. We are no different.

well the paths used by generations of birds are indeed recorded in the offspring genes one way or another, then vision and other senses do their job. One thing is certain, animals who dont have prefrontal lobes cannot look back at their subconscious, while humans who have prefrontal lobes, are able to be "conscious", can look back at their subconscious, these preprogrammed animal behaviors, thought patterns recorded in their subconscious, thanks to their ability to be conscious. Other animal species cannot look back at their subconscious, "inside " themselves, their strategies of survival, the mechanism in the background.

Spend all week with the kids taking them places where hot single moms will be. then get them to bed on a saturday night, arrange grandparents to babysit then hit bars and clubs down whitley bay.
Staying single and enjoying this routine for at least the next ten years.

Let's face facts, there is no way they would have given you custody anyway. Men don't get custody. Just the way it is.

To use that as an excuse just to cut a check once a month and pat yourself on the back for 'taking care of things' is not the way to go.

You need to bring up that child, even if you don't live with the mother.

I split with my first wife when my son was four, I saw him a couple of evenings a week and every weekend for 5 years. For the past 2 he has lived with me. I didn't miss a game, a recital or a fucking boring Christmas show @ school.

Thing is - you should actually want to do all this. It should be tearing you apart inside not being with the kid right now.
