LOL... I'm one of those big boned farm boys.
Of course everyone is different but think about it. If you quit lifting weights and cut back on your meals (specifically protein) what happens to your lean muscle mass?
It's like when a fat person loses weight by starving themselves. Their metabolism slows down and yet they lose weight but still have a lot of body fat. A good portion of that lost weight is lean muscle.
Now if Kevin is (supposedly) eating only 1 meal a day and doing a boat load of cardio work he's droping a lot of lean muscle and body fat. He's going to get small fast. I'm betting he's still eating regularly but taking in no where near the protein and carbs he's accustomed to.
Before he left Maryland for California he had been doing that for quite a while. He droped a lot of his competition size but even though he was very lean looked healthy. He was never one to train between competitions anyways so I'm sure this wasn't a big adjustment for him.
