About right, I pay over 50% taxes but its tiered, so it's not 50% on everything you take in just everything above 200k. I thought there was a bracket for over 1 million.
Gas has gone up a lot recently, not sure of the cost.
You do get taxed if you sell a rental property, nothing on primary residence
Not sure about the cost of goods since I don't know what it costs in the states, but I would reckon they are.
the last government was atrocious. Carney seems to have his head on right and is more of a centrist and focused on investment as he was an investment banker.
Honestly health care is not that bad, I can see my doc within a week (rarely do, you can't self prescribe), got a pulmonary functioning test within a month etc..
Not sure what its like in other areas.
The previous government was very focused especially near the end with unending immigration which caused huge problems.
