IIFYM vs Bro diet?

What is your weapon of choice?  ???

Personally I prefer bro diets, since it's what I would eat anyway.

IIFYM IS a "bro diet". The problem is that kids today changed the meaning of IIFYM. They think its eating pop tarts and skittles instead of rice and fruits. In reality iifym has been done for decades by bodybuilders who ate real food, not processed garbage. So to say you like a bro diet more than iifym is kind of stupid. Even if you're on a ketogenic diet, you're still doing iifym, its just that your macros shift from carb-centric to fat-centric. The quality of food not only brings better results physique-wise (complex carbs + fiber vs processed sugar), but also make you feel great without sudden insulin spikes/crashes.

Yes, but in today's jargon IIFYM = retarded diet including bullshit food, Bro diet = sweet potatoes, brown rice, chicken etc.

I'm fully aware of their older meanings.

Today's iifymers are misinformed brats who don't know what a diet is. They think they can get into contest shape eating cookies, if that were the case every bodybuilder on earth would diet like that. I think if you're gonna do iffym its because you're too lazy or scared to suffer real dieting. The only people that claim iffym and look good are ones that have superior genetics for staying lean and holding muscle (or PEDs) and ones that SAY they iffym but their macros only include unprocessed (or little processed) "clean" foods.

Excellent post.  So so true.  The dweebs just don't get it / lie / or are very often utterly delusional about what being contest ready actually means.

What I wonder is how do the todays IIFYM people get their energy for workouts/every day life? I would probably collapsed from lack of energy if I ate candy/cookies instead of whole foods.
