OP does have a point.

But he's throwing the proverbial baby out with the bath water.
an omnipotent being would be incapable of preserving the message of a book ?

Some atheists here (not Atheists) are insecure in their trust in themselves, elsewise why do these children continue to do their best imitation of a mini-messiah and raise these same topics/questions from the dead as though it were Lazarus from his tomb?

Your disbelief has no effect upon my belief and the reverse should be true.  Unless of course you're either unsure in  your dogma/canon/convictions or whatever you choose to call it or...Just an insecure wanker of an ass.

I think it's the latter.  I follow Christ but that doesn't mean I can't call brat a butthead.  I don't care if you accept Christ.  I don't care if you die in  your sins or in  your soiled Nasser brand Funderwear.  What I find unconscionable, no...ridiculous works much better here...  No...How about just plain pitiable and retarded?  Yes, you are both pitiable and retarded in your never ending quest to make yourself appear "cool" to others of your order, i.e., your fellow atheists.  Babies playing at being "clever".

I know plenty of Atheists.  By my faith, such as they are excellent people and that in the real world.  Some of them  are here and they know who they are and I salute them and am all too proud to call them friend.   What separates them from the atheists?

That while they choose not to believe, neither do they belittle.  I can easily honor such men and women for their beliefs or in this case, lack of same.  They understand my hope in Christ and do not share it but what we do share is friendship and the mutual respect that comes of it.

Never will I pray for you or try to make  you believe as I do.  Your salvation is not my concern and why should it be for you don't consider it to be yours either.  I trust your judgment in what you do for yourself for after all, you are adults.  Try behaving as such.

Oh, and neither will I deny my faith in Jesus of Nazareth.

  • It depends on what the meaning of "is" is.

Tell a story to one of your mates. Let that story circulate round ten other people before getting back to you. When the story gets back to you, will it be the same? No. Now you understand the concept of religion.

I see.  Keep the number of members of your religion to under ten, apart from "your mates", and you are golden.  Small is beautiful.  Thanks for the suggestion, Ace.

Just one question: How many "mates" can you have?

It's a pity your faith and religion aren't helpful in preventing you melting down everytime you read opposing ideas or people ridiculing your insecurity driven need to idolise an imaginary father figure.

Your mother doesn't even love you, does she?  Run along now but take care lest you trip over you cell phone cord again.
