I'm not saying that Gaspari is a great bodybuilder, but he's a good example of someone with vascularity. Hard to say, who 'should' have won the '89 (correct?) AC, since all of them had great physiques.

Arnold used to get a little fat off season, not really fat but thick skin .
When he met Vince G. the first time he walked up to Vince shook his hand and said: Hi, I'm Arnold Schwarzenegger and im Mr. Universe.

Vince looked at him and said: To me you are nothing but a fat fuck!
Arnold said after that comment he was never "Offseason". He couldn't get this words out of his head for a long time. LOL !He told the story himself.

Not too big. His aren't much bigger than those from Evan Centopani for example (now don't start about his chest, we're talking about calves)
The fact that Arnold has poor quads is part of the 'big calves' illusion, so everything is relative.
