He is a much stronger and solid personality than people are giving credit for.
He has every right to feel superior as he was better than 95 percent both physically and mentally (and he didn't walk around like I created the world)
When he met with a smarter specimen, he knew his place.
He tried to manipulate James Cameron and he was successful to a degree but overall his intellect was too much for Arnold, so he followed his lead.
Did you know, Cameron was barely 30 years old when he written and directed Terminator.
