Earl, do not despair. I teared up when I saw the competition pics of Vince Goodrum, CSN, MFT, HHP, CEO.

I know what you're going through.

I know it's the end of the thread but I'm a rebel. He was huge and ripped but his best quality is that he had dense muscle. Nothing looked like soft bloated muscles like the current champs.

Dorian was cool. Every year post Olympia he would be at Golds Venice for two weeks. He was just cool. Humble. Signed every autograph. Posed with anyone for a picture. Hanging at the front desk. Just cool.

I've told this Dorian story before... I'll tell it again.

1993.  Dorian and Leroy had just arrived at Golds Venice. Ed Connors calls me over and says, "Tom, do me a favor make sure Dorian and Leroy get anything they need... Pro shop, guest passes, hotel close by, transportation, just make sure they don't need anything..."  "Yes sir, I'll take care of it boss" I said.

I told Dorian and Leroy to go to the pro shop, take your time, and get anything you want.  Make sure to get some extra stuff for your friends back home. When you're finished shopping just call me and I'll come over and take care of everything.

I'm doing my thing at the front desk and about ten minutes later Dorian gets my attention and waves me over.  He says they are all through shopping.  Dorian and Leroy each had two t-shirts, one sweatshirt, one baseball hat and some Golds Gym stickers.  They were absolutely sincere.

I said, "Dorian, you are Mr. Olympia. Leroy you are Dorian's training partner... gentlemen please select more things. We have lots of great stuff... Help yourself to ANYTHING you want. ANYTHING."

Dorian was so humble and so soft spoken and so appreciative for anything it never occurred to him to take dozens of shirts, and pants and hats and EVERYTHING.

I had to iterally put things in bags for them to take home.  I offered to mail everything. They declined the offer.

Humility and class.

Yes Dorian had  a one of a kind physique! It's too bad about the biceps injury. His forearms, lats, hamstrings and calves were just amazing. Great tear drops too! Even his pecs were great and did not disappear in the front lat spread. Along with his graininess / muscularity. He definitely did not have the soft balloon look so many bodybuilders have.

I am curious what Eddie Hall thinks of Dorian. I have never seen him mention Dorian. They both come from working class backgrounds and Dorian was huge and lifting heavy when Eddie was still a little tyke. You'd think he'd view him as a hero. Instead his hero is the globalist Arnold. I can understand why because he wants to move up and become successful outside lifting. He is more of a showman than Dorian so I can understand why he would look towards Arnold. But at the same time he should respect Dorian's work ethic. I think Arnold's globalist world view kind of negates the success he has had otherwise. In the end he is a sellout like all the other celebrities in Hollywood. I would have thought Arnold to be braver than that?! I hope Eddie doesn't spin off in that direction. That's what I like about Dorian - he understands that globalists are scum and have ruined his nation.

Good points ^ on Eddie never mentioning Dorian.

As for Arnold yes he is a sad cuck to the leftist agenda now.... Pathetic.

The UK Bodybuilders seem to worship Dorian (Luke, James) and you can see why. Working class, hard workers, etc.

Dorian didn't do it like Arnold did (Walking around rich schmoes houses naked "posing").  ::)

That’s a Great story & a Good reflection of how Dorian is - Or should I say was,
Only say that as I’ve not spoken / seen Dorian for a few years. I can’t see him having
Changed Much.

It’s pitiful to see Arnold has Changed so much now with his Political/ Globalist Views,
I’ll Give Him he still has his love & Passion for all Things Gym / Lifting.

He was made for greatness and capitalized on it.
Dorian's physique looked immensely impressive despite some weaknesses.
