The people behind the anti Sterling crusade, the firing of the Moxilla guy, and pretty much all this PC shit are the same-

Liberals.

These people are against freedom of speech. They are against the first amendment, and the second amendment. They are the ones behind gun control, they are the gay police enforcing compliance with their agenda, the effort to Ban everything they dont like personally...

Its all the same people behind all this shit. They are a militant ideology that forces their ideology on everyone, where they control everything and everyone and everything must conform to their ideology. Dissenters are to be smeared, shamed, and silenced, eventually forcefully. They are socialists

When I was a kid it was the right wing/conservatives who were being accused of being the thought/speech Nazis. Now its clearly the Libs and their Hollywood/media pals. When did the flip happen?

It's not just 'Merica. It's worse in Europe. I live in Ireland, you are bracketed beside people who think paedophilia is ok if you:

* question any rights, laws or special treatment of gays. The letters LGBT will all have 0 points in scrabble soon they are used so much. If you disagree with gay marriage (not civil union, marriage, a religious ceremony) you are a bigot.

* if you disagree with anything concerning global warming you are a luddite. What is even more horrific about this is that scientists promulgate this view too.

* if you question immigration policies you are xenophobic and/or racist.

* any suggestion that there are inherent differences between men and women (eg men are stronger, better at maths, good at reading maps; women are natural carers of young, more sensitive, useless on the rag) means you are a mysoginist, outdated pig.

It is the curtailment of free speech and opinion through political correctness. It's the real life equivalent of shifting an argument to the point that one side says "the Nazis said that too..."

It relates to law enforcement and prison, not to saying whatever you want with no negative repercussions in the court of public opinion.

Although Sterling's is a unique case since what he said was said in private.

This. Good job sport  ;)

You always hear about America fighting wars to ensure our Freedom, protecting the first amendment and the right to free speech, but as soon as someone says something you disagree with, the media causes an unnecessary shitstorm over it.

Recently The Clippers owner said some racist remarks and everyone wants him out of the NBA.  Sure his remarks are stupid but isn't it his right to think the way he does?  Where is it written that you must think like everyone else and share the same opinion as everyone else?

The CEO of Mozilla was kicked out for donating money against gay marriage.  Again, using his right to free speech and he gets fucking persecuted over it.

God forbid someone ever says something negative about the Jews.  We all know how that turned out for some people.  Marge Schott the former owner of the Cincinnati Reds was forced out.  Mel Gibson was black listed.

America has an odd sense of freedom.  You're only considered free if you are doing what the other sheep are doing or otherwise you get raked over the coals.

"Free speech" is simply not a descriptive term.

But I guess it doesn't sound as catchy to say "comparatively free speech but within limits and subject to change over time depending on the current status quo"

Sterling , the owner of the Clippers is a Jew. I like how they are lumping him as "white"  ::)
