Excellent use of presidential bandwidth. It's good to tackle the world's problems in priority order.

Calm down, some Brit group/agency asked Obama and other nations to ban/block Top Gear.

If you actually read the article:

A British law firm named Equal Justice is going to write letters to the United States and 200 other countries that show Top Gear.  The want to stop the show because of Jeremy Clarkson who chanted the nursery rhyme “eeny meeny”.  It seems that Jeremy was getting ready to do a “take” and recited the nursery rhyme as a warm up.  The nursery rhyme was not used in the final show, but the “outtake” has gone viral.

Not the outtake:

The outake:

This guy is Reagan Brown, he was Texas Agriculture Commissioner from 1977 to 1983.  He was giving a speech when he demonstrated what  is commonly called a "Freudian Fumble", or parapraxis.  When I worked at the big news/talk station in Houston, a recording of this incident was kept as a hallowed object and played for new staff members. (especially New Yorkers)

I could make anyone lose it all and laugh for minutes just by putting on a nasal, corn cracker, redneck twang and say, "Booker T. Washington!"

The ant incident at 0:45 is good too.

This has nothing to do with Obama. A law firm will be asking Obama as well as many other countries to ban Top Gear. This is no way Obama's stance, just yahoo airing some pointless event by a non-relevent law firm.

I like Jeremy, he's just a guy who speaks before he thinks, he has put his mouth in it many times, perhaps not a good trait for a broadcaster, and I don't think he mean't any malice from it. The papers had a field day with this as our British news papers have always been like this, any excuse to bring mayhem down on someone. They are the only ones to blame for making this a big issue and blowing it up.

I really do believe most black people aren't even bothered about this childish non-meaningful event, and would rather not hear about it, but the papers and the few people with agendas will be voicing up their opinions to grab their 5 seconds of lime lights and act as if they speak for the majority.

It's just the natural result of an oppressive media environment.

it was three years ago as well

the media over here are cu nts

any chance to stick the knife in and they are all over it

thousands of people that haven't even seen the video will complain and try and get him sacked

its like the Jonathon ross and russel brand thing a few years ago

they got 15 complaints at them time

then 30000 people that hadn't even heard the broad cast complained after it was in the papers

we are a nation of pathetic bitter jealous idiots

I loved Top Gear a few years back but it has gone pretty stale for the past few series. The guys just try too hard to be funny now and everything seems scripted - yet it was the unscripted and unpredictable nature of the show which made it so great to begin with.
As for Clarkson, it was reckless of him but he's a good dude. Hopefully it doesn’t have much impact on his career.
