Bodybuilders act like lifting weights is torture when it's fairly easy.
When I hear that phrase it makes me laugh.

Sweetie, when you are training with exercise bands and balls it shouldn't be that hard  ;)

ok tough guy.
bodybuilders who say there is no such thing as overtraining are STUPID.
Go do 30 sets of squats to failure every week then tough guy.  According to your theory your legs will blow up in size.

You probably cannot overtrain while on massive amounts of AAS. For the rest of us, it's called reality.

That's because they're pussies OR they overtrained.
Dorian got injured countless times because he overtrained.
dorian was a pussy? right. you are an assfuckinghole. dorian was not over trained at all. undertrained compared to most other bb'rs.

yates injuries (bicep and tricep) all occured during pre-contest. he was still going all out while strict dieting and could have backed off and then he would have had 7 or 8 mr o's. have a nice day.

You don't get injured when you do an exercise correctly.  It's as simple as that.

So you're saying that everyone who has ever injured a muscle did it because of poor form?  Never overuse, genetics, or just plain luck? It was all bad form?

I disagree to a certain extent.
There are different degrees of failure.
For example, if I put a gun to your head and said I'd kill you if you didn't do one more rep, you'd bust out one more rep, I promise.
Lifting to failure is not "easy". Your goal should be to maximize each workout and get into a mental zone where you literally anihilate the muscle and not the weight. Multiply that by 1,000 by training hard and being consistant.. the muscle will grow.

Also, with legs for example, when doing leg extensions there's build up of lactic acid that makes the muscle burn when you contract. You can get to a point where you can't do anymore but if you truly put your mind in the muscle or if Arnold walked in the room, you could keep going.

There's a story about Franco not being able to squat his normal weight for some reason while these kids from his homeland cheered him on. Franco left, came back 5 minutes later and hit an all new personal best.

I think your going to get big and gain mass from just working hard and being consistent. It's better to have 20 workouts a week with a few not being as-great as the others as opposed to just having 12 or 13 and skipping the ones where you didn't feel like 100%.  Hard work will get you to your goals....

I say just concentrate on working hard and being consistent, then practice pushing your perception of failure, sometimes you can do more, sometimes you can't, just keep at it and it'll grow anyway.

It's not hard for me to train to failure.  Maybe I'm not as sensitive to pain as others, but it feels fine to me.    Also how long does a set take,  15 seconds?
Squatting and Deadlifts are tough because it can be hard to breathe properly during them and they use up a lot of your energy but it's not that bad and that exhausted feeling is short-lived.
15 seconds? damn, no wonder you're so damn small, Bast.

It's not good enough to just lift weights.

That's like me saying it's not hard to play basketball.

Sure anyone can play ball and shoot around, there's a difference between doing that and being a professional.

Just like there's a difference between being a pro bodybuilder and weight training under the current zone diet employed by your YMCA trainer.

This shit takes years of hard work and constant training, just like training to be an olympia swimmer or a pro in something else..
