bah. Id trade your arm genetics for my ability to push over 3 wheels anyday.

My arms just dont want to go over the 18" mark. Of course, ive been dieting nonstop for the last year, so that could have something to do with it. :D

Mine hit 18 and just stopped growing. Of course, my shoulders, back and chest have responded well. I just need to up my triceps to match my biceps and maybe a set of 19's would be nice.

A ripped 17 looks so much better than a grandma arm at 18.

Please do it. I recall reading you have a PhD in physics.

I don't want to give anything away that would ruin the movie, not in the previews.
Suffice to say it's a great film with a lot of depth and very well written and acted.

I was pumped that it included ,actual sound theory in :relativity, gravity, black holes, space travel and even string theory.
I personally prefer the 1990's movie  "Contact" written by Carl Sagan and find it ironic that Mathew M. is the male lead in both great films.

I really enjoy how they integrate the human needs with the physics in BOTH great films.
This movie is awesome and a must see for any thinking person.

The physics in it are dumb simple.

Like seriously, that part of it seemed way to basic.

Anyways I loved it can't wait to watch it again.

top 3 faults.

1) Why the fucking watch, she was already doing that note pad thing, would of made more sense that she used them extensively.

2) Why does he live after, should of just sufficated where he was too

3) Dude was in that black whole for like millions of years, again wtf.

Top 3 fuck yeahs

1) Robots were bloody cool, futuristic yet not all shinny and magical.
2) The scope of everything was just awesome.
3) The future not being some magical again was awsome.

1. Based on current string theory, the watch could ( in theory) capture a frequency vibration from a slightly overlapping dimension outside of the 3D we live in. The math/equations are way beyond debate here, so suffice to say, it's proper modern physics within some models of string theory.

2 and 3. NOBODY, repeat nobody really knows what happens to matter if it goes past the event horizon of a black hole. All we do know is that the gravity is off the chart and this would cause a warping of space/time. What happens if you enter is anyone's guess ????
Having said that, I tend to agree that one would be stretched and crushed, but who knows?

My biggest fault was that that was a huge elaborate setup to give the full gravitational equation to humans. Instead of constructing a wormhole, manipulating time, building a 4D tesseract in a black hole and bending space-time, you could have just sent a letter to Alfred with the equation written out.

Due to string theory, this may be the only way to send a "message" back in time?

Great movie. It was pretty long though, it could of been split up.

Disagree, the length was needed to make it come together and still fill in all the key details.

time is a spatial thing that is woven like a vortex the past is the small but easily trackable to the broad area ofvortex thepast becomes ever more hidden in the weaves

I don't want to give away any key plot details of the movie here. BUT the string theory model they used was based on the concept of making a 4th dimension he could actually reside in and comprehend his own reality.

youll only reach 4th dimension(past present and future at once) with a knowledge of electricity because a machine will be needed

1) I get that, but emotionally the watch thing just seemed a bit sappy.

The idea that the girl spent part of her childhood recording her ghosts message packets, seemed to be way more fitting with the idea of communicating in 4 dimensions.

2-3 agree no one knows which is fine, but we do not before entering, the time would of taken an a long time due to time dilation.

If in orbit took you from a hour equally 7 years obviously the minutes before entering would of been centuries in real time.

string theory.   if there is a string hanging out of her front door, it may be wise to try out back.

What time travel some of you nutcases are talking about?

There's NO time to begin with, it's just "Now", a never ending "Now", a constant change/tranformation, no "past" and no "future".

No prob. "Time" is just an illusion of our minds.

Hope that helps

Just watched it. I don't even remember it coming out in theaters. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but it made me feel kind of depressed or something after the end. I'll probably watch it again. Any books to read up on in this particular genre? Stephen Hawking or somethin?
