Yeah the jian ghomeshi thing is huge.

Dude was like a champion of ultra liberal shit in canada, sadly something everyone in this country is trying to forget.

He pointed fingers at so many people so often.

Dude made a career of playing the race card behind the scenes.

Minor'ed in womans studies, got the feminist vote at his college, etc.

After that no one is safe in canada. Trust me anyone with dirt right now is aprehensive.

Nothing anyone wants to see more than a preacher getting shunned.

nice article....I don't condone what cosby did but many of these women were around him for a reason and kept coming back even after what he did to them

Maybe you should have read this comment then...

When people have been traumatised, the psychological impact is devastating and unpredictable. One of the most common reactions is denial—denial of a depth and intensity so overwhelming that it's unlikely that people like you or me can realistically grasp it. The frantic need to deny that it happened frequently leads victims to place themselves in harm's way in a desperate effort to regain control of themselves and their environment.

You see it in shell-shocked soldiers returning to the front lines, in earthquake survivors refusing to leave their homes, in abused children seeking care and attention from their abusers and, of course, rape victims returning to their rapists. It's very, very common. It is not a sign of weakness or stupidity. It's a symptom of a traumatised brain screaming for help.

Rothlisberger is scum. The only people who defend this pig are the idiotic "Steeler Nation" fans who would also defend him if he threw baby puppies from the top of the U.S. Steel building.

Interesting note is that a friend of mine recently worked some event that the Steelers were a part of. He spoke with Ben's PR person who sheepishly admitted that Ben now has to pose for pics with his hands in his pockets to avoid any potential "issues."

My friend then showed me some pictures he took with different players. Sure enough, "Big Ben" had his hands dorkishly in his front pockets in every one.

Scum.

Hardcore sports fans would defend anyone as long as "my" team wins attitude  ::)

Ben is a scumbag

It's very simple:

O.J. - guilty.
Tyson - innocent.
"Big Ben" - guilty.
Cosby - innocent.

There's no way in Hell that the man who brought me Picture Pages as a child could commit such heinous acts.

Mortimer will back me up, here!!

And there is "NO WAY" that this magnificant man of a preacher from the popular 90`s series, 7th Heaven could EVER be a child molester... Well guess what, he is............ ::) Get your gulliable head out of your ass!

Loved the Cos, but there's just way too much smoke here. Sucks.

Old stand-up bit about rape drug, his alleged M.O. (on all counts). Coincidence?

Can't say I'm surprised.

When I was doing cable in LA about 20 years ago I met Movita Brando, Marlon Brando's ex wife. She was old even then, but was beautiful when she was younger.

Anyway, she told me she used to be good friends with the Cosbys.

She told me she was having lunch at their house one afternoon. She was sitting next to Bill at the table, with his wife Camille and a couple of their kids sitting opposite them.

She said they were eating and chatting when she suddenly felt Bill rubbing her leg under the table, laughing and joking like nothing was happening. She said she abruptly stood up and said she had forgotten something very important she had to take care of, and left. She said she never went back there again.

I asked her why she never said anything about it publicly. She said "He's Bill Cosby. No one would ever believe me."

So yeah, I'm not surprised.

That's not exactly rape though, and considering her husband, not an overtly provacative action.

This is my only problem with this kind of thing.

For every girl that objects there could be 30 that welcomed that type of behavior.

I agree, it's not rape, and I hope these allegations aren't true. I just find it interesting considering the aforementioned story.

But he settled out of court with one, which never looks good, especially when you have all the money in the world to fight it. Now this freak, too:

Rolf Harris was jailed over allegations from 40 years back.   Nobody had a problem with that.  So what makes Bill Cosby a special exception?

Same with Jimmy Saville. Protected by the entertainment industry and protected by politicians.  Why?  Probably because their hands are dirty too...

Do you morons even know that rape is the most underrapportet crime? ::) When you add a powerfull man like Bill Cosby in the process and the fact that this happened in the 70-80`s, it is no wonder it took forever for these women to step forward. Its not like some of them already tried in the past, but nobody believed them or they were just hushed away.

There's nothing alleged about his settlement with a woman in 2006.  It's a matter of public record:

http://articles.latimes.com/2006/nov/09/news/wk-cosby9

So that means that he paid this woman......but the countless others are all lying - even years after the statute of limitations has long run out?  Not likely....

Assholes like Cosby start to believe their own hype.....he tries telling other people how to live their lives, while admitting to cheating on his wife.  Who the fuck would listen to this pompous dickhead?

Yes.  He did it.  There are too many women (as many as 16?):
http://www.washingtonpost.com/posteverything/wp/2014/11/13/bill-cosby-raped-me-why-did-it-take-30-years-for-people-to-believe-my-story/

http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2014/11/17/new-bill-cosby-accuser-surfaces-says-comedian-assaulted-her/

And the pattern is similar in many cases:  drug them with a drink then have at it.  But at least one of these women (Barbara Bowman) claims he raped her several times.  If a man rapes you once, why do you go back for seconds? thirds?  fourths?  fifths?  What's that about? ???

This is the part that makes absolutely no sense.

I'm autistic, if she returns it seems pretty fucking obvious it consensual.

How is one suppose to mind read that kind of shit.

People are mixing sexual abuse with rape, which is utter nonsense.

I'm sure he fucked a couple of them but it wasn't no rape.  Bill Cosby is being silent because he just said "fuck it" after hearing it for over 30 years.  He's almost 80.

This is what I think happened, because there is a consistent story, young model actress is invited to his place, drinks (they never really say if he is drinking), and sometimes he offers a pill, and sometimes they ask for the pill. The woman gets drunk (never says that Bill does) and the woman wakes up groggy the next morning of after that. Not remembering what happened. Now, I do think he has a problem or had one, because all of these incidents are not from this past decade, but all seen to span from 69-89ish to possible 90s.
I wonder what Camille thinks of this.

Now, when you think of the above scenario, this has happened to a lot of women who go to clubs and bars and have never reported it. Some do, what happens after that is up to the judge.
Due to these allegation, I am betting you will see an explosion of cases, and just against the rich and famous, but reg men.
