I'll defend him. If Bill was raping left & right, you'd think sooner or later at least one of the victims would have gone to the police. The lack of any physical evidence at all, and not so much as a report filed back in the day, makes every new claim even harder for me to believe. One victim, no report I could see. But Mr Hyde, serial rapist, is running amok with tons of people around and there's nothing whatsoever in any records?
People keep saying the claims sound credible. The woman who kept going back? It's not denial. That's called 'an affair.' Or that the stories are similar? They're repeating what they heard! And, hilariously, that there's no motive for these women to tell a lie. He gave free money to someone who made a rape claim in the past. The press is holding a bidding auction for their stories. These aren't motives?
Hey maybe he did it but at the moment there's no evidence and no record of rapeyness or weirdness on his part at all. If something suspect from the 1960s turns up (and you know no stone is being left unturned at the moment, apparently still without result) then I'll have to change my tune, but a bunch of unsubstantiated claims from people who stand to benefit by making them leaves me unconvinced. As things stand I'm feeling bad for The Cos.
