Shawn Ray was 10X better than Dorian IMO. Amazing shape and symmetry,

I think so as well. Maybe not 10x.
Imagine how a screen shot of the top three at this year's Olympia would compare to this?

Shawn was a bit blocky.  Also, he was never willing to get tight with an extra 10-12 lbs to actually win the Olympia.  At least he can keep telling the story of 12 consecutive top 5 finishes.   To an extent he's like a Floyd Mayweather of bbing.

Visually smaller than a 185-190 pound Labrada.

True, Shawn kinda knew that playing the size game, and losing sharpness at the only show that he competes in would not do him any justice. Look at what happened when he decided to do a spring show or two. Other than him winning two Arnolds, and being disqualified for one, spring shows in the 90s he was not good at.

The simple fact is he couldn't maintain his conditioning at heavier weights. He tried. His peak weight was 205lbs he listened to the judges who said he needed to add some size and came in at 215lbs and his conditioning was off , so in typical Shawn fashion it wasn't his fault it was the judging

ray was leg heavy  at times 'he toned them a bit'which also gave the slight thicker waistline'relative to wheelers'..he was photographed video or pics in mags for yrs in contest shape which he looked 'great'or at times fantastic,,was able to sell that look ..mostly he was stocky and soft offseason, you never saw this look on him.. 'today internet'you see more..

It's funny that Labrada was billed at 5'6" when it's clear that he was minimum 2" shorter than 5'6" Shawn Ray.

I believe Joe McNeal had said that Flex was 215 at the USAs, 216 at the 93 Arnold and 218 at the Mr. O. This is somewhat bolstered by the fact that in Flex's Hardbody vid, he said he was in the low 220s, and this was filmed a week out from the O.

Perhaps that's why he's still alive and relatively healthy....
