I could totally understand if the suicides were a result of getting divorced... where the woman gets 50-60% of everything you've ever had and/or worked for.  A man is at the mercy of the divorce court judge and has absolutely no recourse.

Whatever you do... DO NOT GET MARRIED!

These can be circumvented by a crafty divorce lawyer and totally nullified by a divorce court judge.

I believe that the family court can set prenups aside if it wants too. That seems to be happening a lot lately.

Not a myth, but there's still risk of financial ramification loopholes.  There is a very good chance her lawyer will find that loophole and exploit it.
