Meet Edward Garcia, a Florida man so impressed with his physique that he feels a cute-sounding 911 dispatcher will someone fall impassionedly in love, over the phone mind you, with the bodybuilder as he describes his massive musculature – a stark contrast to his diminutive brain functions.
After calling up once and boasting about his big guns – and being given the cold shoulder by the female dispatcher – Garcia called back again and again.
Writes Click Orlando: “The dispatcher disconnected the call and the man called back two more times, again, asking if she was single. After police tracked down that the calls were coming from Lake Griffin State Park, an officer went there… The officer tracked Garcia down and found him with an open beer can where he was lying, along with other cold beers in the tent, according to police.”
Garcia, 44, clearly had much to offer this gal – bulky biceps and a popup tent full of cold ones – but she rebuffed the come-ons, then notified police with her own emergency report.
When officers arrived at the tent, they found Garcia drunk, and the dolt promptly lied about calling 911. So the officer rang the number the 911 calls came from, and sure enough, Garcia’s cell began to ring. Unconfirmed reports say Garcia’s ringtone was the “Gonna Fly Now” Rocky theme song.
Busted, Garcia resorted to the next logical thing, telling the arresting officers:
“I will head butt you and kill you.”
Once inside the patrol car, Garcia reportedly spit on the back of the officers' heads through the cage and kept making threats. So another patrol car, with a plastic divider, came and took Rocky, er Garcia, to Lake County Jail, where he was charged with battery on a law enforcement officer and misuse of the 911 system.
And to think girls, Florida's finest, Ed Garcia, could have been all yours.
