Ooh I really nailed that quote!

S&P is 6,300 when everyone else said it’d tank like crazy. Property here hit ATH last month and that’s is my biggest bet.

It doesn’t mean everything goes up. Timing the rotation won’t be easy Particularly if BTC is catching bids from money that would have gone to commodities.
I get the sense you're bearish ETH - right? Have you looked at the fundamentals?

ETH has been the best performing asset in the world the past 10 years. Nothing comes close. ETH did not exist when BTC was launched in 2009. It launched around 6 years later. And since then it has outperformed everything. Ethereum started at a ratio of 2000 ETH for 1 BTC.

Yes, ETH has performed like a dog the past few years. There's various reasons for this. But the bottom line IMO is it is completely mispriced and undervalued. We'll see what happens the next 10-20 years.

The Strategic ETH Reserve is now over $11 billion.

Three companies have overtaken the Ethereum Foundation.

Nice. We need a few more companies. I will laugh if Microsoft adds it officially.

Cosmos Health secures up to $300M financing facility to launch Ethereum treasury strategy

Cosmos Health (NASDAQ:COSM) has entered into a securities purchase agreement with a U.S.-based institutional investor for the issuance of up to $300 million in senior secured convertible promissory notes to support the launch of its Ethereum (ETH) digital asset treasury reserve strategy.

Strategic accumulation of ETH to enhance long-term shareholder value through increasing ETH-per-share.

The company plans to explore additional yield-generating strategies to optimize cash flow and utility from ETH holdings.

EDIT: I see Griffith posted this news in a prior page. Still leaving it though... lol!

Ethereum News Today: FG Nexus Shifts $200M Treasury to Ethereum Signaling Corporate Blockchain Adoption

- FG Nexus rebranded and allocated $200M to Ethereum, led by Moglia and Vujinovic with institutional support from Galaxy and Kraken.

- The move reflects growing institutional confidence in Ethereum as a corporate reserve asset and blockchain integration in traditional finance.

- Analysts predict this could accelerate Ethereum adoption in treasuries, mirroring MicroStrategy's Bitcoin strategy and reshaping digital asset allocations.

- The strategy leverages Ethereum's smart contracts and ecosystem growth, positioning it as a foundation for decentralized financial innovation.

https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/ethereum-treasury-stocks-better-buy-172342345.html

Ethereum Treasury Stocks 'Better Buy' Than ETH ETFs, Standard Chartered Says

Companies that are buying ether (ETH) for their treasury strategy are a better buy for investors than ETH spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs), said Standard Chartered analyst Geoff Kendrick.

The analyst noted that these firms are attracting attention not just for their holdings but also for their financial structure, which is starting to become attractive for investors.

“The NAV multiples (market cap divided by value of ETH held) have now also started to normalise for the ETH treasury companies,” said Kendrick, adding that this dynamic is making the "treasury companies now very investable for investors seeking access to ETH price appreciation."

Buying ETH for the balance sheet, following Michael Saylor's bitcoin (BTC) buying strategy, has taken off recently. Many publicly traded firms have jumped on board and seen their share prices surge initially, boosting their market cap and NAV multiples. Now, their NAV multiples are coming down from their initial peak.

Some of the top companies enjoying this market euphoria include BitMine Immersion Technologies (BMNR) and SharpLink Gaming (SBET).

Among these companies, Kendrick highlighted SharpLink Gaming's (SBET) NAV multiple, which at its peak was around 2.50 and is now coming down to a more normalized level of near 1.0. This means its market cap is only slightly higher than the value of its ETH holdings.

So much nonsense here re ETH.

As said, I will be back at BTC 125K. Till then, enjoy not being corrected and the ability to mislead with impunity. Till then enjoy my absence... :)

What nonsense? Ethereum has had a far greater impact on the crypto ecosystem than Bitcoin. It has a significantly higher economic security while using a fraction of the energy that Bitcoin consumes. An example would be me driving 100 miles somewhere on a hot day with AC blasting vs you walking a few days while sweating your ass off. BTC mining is hard and expensive but after all that effort a 51% attack on Bitcoin will be far easier than on Ethereum.

You tried to convince me to sell some ETH when it hit rock bottom against BTC a few months ago. Now, 3 months later, ETH is up 105% and BTC only 21%. Imagine that. I have never told you to sell BTC for anything. I never will. I am not desperate to recruit ETH holders. Because I know what Ethereum is worth.

BTC to $125k is only a 8.7% increase from where it sits now. Why would someone new to crypto get excited about that? It's great for someone with 50 or more BTC, but not for someone with 0 BTC. To be fair, the same thing applies to ETH at a higher price point. I am just saying that BTC at $125k is not a massive move anymore.

BTW, do you check your BTC balance often by just monitoring the address on a block explorer? I ask because some people have had funds stolen from self-custody software wallets. Yours is probably a hardware wallet. You can still confirm that the balance is there without logging into the wallet.

Hardware wallets have also been drained before. All they need are your seed words.

https://www.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/comments/194bu3m/ledger_nano_x_drained/

The best approach IMO is to create a virtual machine with nothing on it and a legitimate copy of the OS. You only interact with the wallet and exchanges via the VM, and never do anything else on it. And shutdown the VM when not in use. That way everything is isolated and malicious software, key loggers, etc. can be avoided.

And that's exactly the mentality shitcoin scammers have exploited, time and time again. Why settle for 30% annualized compounded growth to the decline in USD, when you can make 100x overnight with the latest shitcoin! Which is why we have seen hundreds and thousands of shitcoins come and go, NFTs, Memes, BTC lending / difi scams etc. The issuer is the one who makes the money. And if the buyer doesn't know who the sucker is - well they find out sooner or later...

And meanwhile, BTC over time just does its thing, slow and steady. Remember the story of the hare the and tortoise...

Agree - need to be very careful how we store our sats. Apart from security, there is also a tax exposure risk some of us need to factor in...

See you at 125...

By the way, my much bigger interest as I think you know, are stocks. I have just commenced quite a significant pivot towards Hong Kong, Singapore and China. Amazing time to invest in these regions right now...

But that's the argument you used when BTC outperformed ETH so severely the past few years. You were saying: "Look how many x times BTC outperformed ETH". You were mocking the entire situation. But when the tables turn and ETH or some other coin vastly outperforms BTC, then it is a shitcoin.

If ETH was a shitcoin, why did the price recover back to almost $4,000 when it crashed to below $1,500 earlier this year? Should it not have continued on to $50 or lower which you deemed to be a fair value for it?

Don't forget that BTC also once crashed to 1 cent. Just because something crashes doesn't mean its a shitcoin.

Fundamental Global to raise $5 billion to launch Ethereum treasury

Fundamental Global to establish Ethereum treasury with $5 billion offering
Nasdaq-listed holding company Fundamental Global has filed an S-3 registration with the SEC to launch a $5 billion shelf offering. The company intends to use a majority of the proceeds from the offering to purchase ETH, with the rest allocated toward business operations.

The filing comes a few days after Fundamental Global revealed that it raised $200 million from a private placement to launch its Ethereum treasury. It also announced a rebrand to FG Nexus Inc., with a potential change of its NASDAQ ticker to FGNX and FGNXP.

Fundamental Global joins several other companies that are adopting an Ethereum-focused treasury, including SharpLink Gaming, BitMine and Bit Digital.

Fundamental Global’s stock rose 2% in after-hours trading on Thursday, while ETH is up 6% within the past 24 hours following the filing.

Around 145k for late Q4/Jan 2026.

Stock market could continue running hard into late 2026, the big unknown is if BTC will continue running with it or not.

Looks like many in this thread outperformed Saylor's Strategy. He did it at a massive scale, but Strategy invested $46.5 billion which is currently worth $73.4 billion. That's only a 1.57x. I know GIB is at around 23x with his BTC. Along with the other guy who has 26 BTC.

Wait a minute since inception isn’t BTC at 111.5K ROI and Ethereum is at 115K ROI  but BTC lowest price point was .06 cents a coin and Ethereum lowest is only .10 cents a coin.

Wait a minute since inception isn’t BTC at 111.5K ROI and Ethereum is at 115K ROI  but BTC lowest price point was .06 cents a coin and Ethereum lowest is only .10 cents a coin.
BTC's increase since inception or low point dwarves ETH's current gains. Some sites indicate BTC's current gains at around 136 million percent, or 1.36 million factor increase. In other words, $1 turns into $1,360,000. But BTC flash crashed to 1 cent for a brief period. That's actually a more than 1.16 billion increase from 1 cent to BTC's current $116,500 price. In other words, $1 turns into $11,650,000.

Ethereum presale (July 22 – Sept 2, 2014) was priced in BTC, because ETH didn’t exist yet.
  • First 14 days: 1 BTC = 2,000 ETH
  • After day 14, the rate gradually decreased until the end of the sale.
  • By the end, 1 BTC was worth about 1,337 ETH.
So the 2,000 ETH per BTC deal was for the earliest investors — basically the ones who trusted the whitepaper before the network was live.

Opportunity Cost Analysis (1 BTC → 2,000 ETH at ICO)
Let’s compare what would have happened if someone in mid-2014:
  • Held 1 BTC
  • Vs. swapped that 1 BTC for 2,000 ETH at the ICO rate (~$0.30/ETH)
1) Holding 1 BTC
  • You retain 1 BTC
  • At today’s price (~$116,685), that 1 BTC is now worth approx $116,685
2) Exchanging 1 BTC for 2,000 ETH
  • You’d have 2,000 ETH purchased at ~$0.30 each
  • At today’s ETH price (~$4,011), that’s: 2,000×4,011=$8,022,000
  • So your initial BTC investment (worth ~$600 back then) would now be valued at over $8 million

Is there a future with both Ethereum and Bitcoin?  Kind of like we have gold and silver?  Aren’t there things ethereum can do that Bitcoin can’t and vice versa?  Does it have to be so black and white?
???

I like that post of yours, and yes, they can both exist, along with a few other tokens. But not millions of tokens like we currently have. That's way too much. Bitcoin was not the very first blockchain concept, but it was the first successful, decentralized blockchain that actually worked at scale. Ethereum was the first major blockchain platform to successfully implement and popularize smart contracts as we know them today.

Joe Lubin says both BTC and ETH need to go up a lot more. I'd like to see ETH reclaim a ratio of 0.15 BTC. Maybe a little more.

Not sure if this was already posted

https://apnews.com/article/trump-crypto-401k-private-equity-retirement-plans-d7fdae32d904c9454f4d4eb0b12b88ef

Quote
NEW YORK (AP) — Millions of Americans saving for retirement through 401(k) accounts could have the option of putting their money in higher-risk private equity and cryptocurrency investments, according to an executive order signed Thursday by President Donald Trump that could give those financial players long-sought access to a pool of funds worth trillions.

Under Democratic President Joe Biden, federal regulators were to treat cryptocurrency investments with “extreme care” because of the extreme volatility of crypto. It is not uncommon for bitcoin, ethereum and other big cryptocurrencies to move up or down 10% in a single day, whereas a 2% or 3% single-day move in the stock market would be considered historic.

https://www.whitehouse.gov/fact-sheets/2025/08/fact-sheet-president-donald-j-trump-democratizes-access-to-alternative-assets-for-401k-investors/

Quote
EXPANDING INVESTMENT CHOICES FOR 401(K) PLANS: Today, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order to allow 401(k) investors to access alternative assets for better returns and diversification.

The Order directs the Secretary of Labor to reexamine the Department of Labor’s guidance on a fiduciary’s duties regarding alternative asset investments in ERISA-governed 401(k) and other defined-contribution plans.

The Order instructs the Secretary of Labor to clarify the Department of Labor’s position on alternative assets and the appropriate fiduciary process associated with offering asset allocation funds containing investments in alternative assets.

The Order directs the Secretary of Labor to consult with the Secretary of the Treasury, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and other federal regulators to determine whether parallel regulatory changes should be made at those agencies to give effect to the purpose of the Order.

The Order directs the Securities and Exchange Commission to facilitate access to alternative assets for participant-directed defined-contribution retirement savings plans by revising applicable regulations and guidance.

PROMOTING RETIREMENT SECURITY THROUGH DIVERSIFIED INVESTMENTS: President Trump wants to give American workers more investment options in order to attain stronger and more financially secure retirement outcomes.

More than 90 million Americans participate in employer-sponsored defined-contribution plans, and most of those are currently restricted from investing in alternative assets, unlike wealthy investors and retirement plans for government workers.

Alternative assets, such as private equity, real estate, and digital assets, offer competitive returns and diversification benefits.

Regulatory overreach and litigation risks have limited ERISA-governed plan fiduciaries from including alternative assets in their investment portfolios, hindering workers’ retirement growth.

President Trump is expanding access to these assets to ensure a dignified and comfortable retirement for all Americans.

BUILDING WEALTH AND SECURING RETIREMENT FOR ALL AMERICANS:
President Trump is delivering on his promise to enhance financial opportunities and retirement security for all Americans, ensuring they can build wealth and thrive.

President Trump’s Department of Labor has already rescinded guidance put place by the Biden Administration regarding digital assets.

President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill delivers on his promise to ensure retirees can keep more of their hard-earned benefits.

President Trump promised to make the United States the “crypto capital of the world,” emphasizing the need to embrace digital assets to drive economic growth and technological leadership.

Through tax cuts and deregulation, President Trump is delivering on his promise to Make America Wealthy Again, empowering workers to save and invest more for their retirement.

If 401k plans start buying bitcoin the price will go way up. This looks like a move in that direction.

I want to see 0.15 BTC. ETH's supply is only around 6x BTC's. Why such an extreme current ratio? It's still scarce when you consider how much fiat is in circulation worldwide. Multiple strategy companies are going to soak up the ETH supply. Along with the ETFs.

I had 180k year end with conditions but that can’t happen anymore IMO.

So for now it’s a Peak in Sep of 126k-130k range.

BTC peak of 241k in late 2026

Good luck!
