Not often in Bodybuilding have I seen Asians have a physique that could possible make the top 20. As of late only Kris Dim has been in any mags, but now I look forward to Ray Arde. Being of the same ethic background (Filipino) and being around since the early '80's, I have never seen someone of my ethic background being able to at least a recognized figure. I look forward to seeing how he will do in the pros. Good luck Ray!

Maybe he didn,Maybe he didn't..I've never even seen the guy.

But one doens't need a pro card to be able to critique pro's.

That's like telling movie critics they need grammys to be able to critique movies. That's not how it works. You can be a critique without having accomplished anything yourself. You can be a chubby 40 year old man who hasn't lifted a weight a day in his life and still critique Professional Bodybuilders,The judges of the shows do it all of the time.

People do have the right to critique, however when they diss a competitor and say that his mother's ailment won him the card is pretty disrepectful. Like him or not the guy has a quality physique and is bound to do well. Check out his pics stingrayarde.tripod.com

Not to mention that "real Critics" actually have credentials of some sort, either being an expert in that field or is recognized by his/her peers in that field 'nuff said

You don't need to have "Credentials" to critique things. I have absolutely no credentials as far as movies go yet I can critique movies all I want.

Secondly, back to the topic...."Asian bodybuilder" is some what of an oxymoron. Asians aren't supposed to be muscular,They're supposed to be skinny little funny looking people who play too many video games and eat too much rice.

You're right you don't need credentials to critique, but credentials identify whose critique is more acceptable than one who just critiques for the sake of doing it.

And I take offense on the stereo type because if you watch any PRIDE fighting you would see the Asians that compete aren't "skinny little asians". Probably pound you down in a minute or less. And not only asians play videos games, they are just BETTER at it than other ethic groups. 'Nuff said

I could care less about what he does off the stage. I'm talking about his potential to be a contender at the PRO level of bodybuilding, not PORN level. WTF? How the hell do you know about this stuff anyway Paparazzi? You search for it? If you know anything about being Filipino, whatever he did or does pales in comparision to the autracities that have happened in the Philippines. So again I wish him the best of luck in the PROs and I know he'll do better than BUI or DIM.

I feel for him losing his Mom...

However, as a bodybuilder Arde needs SIZE. One place I noticed he was lacking was his tri's. With some improvements, you never know he may make an impact...
