Can anybody shed some light on this? From what I gather, Rory looked awesome in the early '90s, sporting the long hair. There are plenty of images floating around online that prove this. But then I can only find one on-stage pic from the '90s and he looks flat, narrow and totally unlike himself.

Did he lose the will to continue attempting to get his pro card, because he surely wasn't past his prime at this point. He just sort of disappeared and I can't find much info on it. Would appreciate some insight because Rory is one of my favorite physiques ever.

Last contest was the 1994 Nationals , Which Paul DeMayo won and Rory placed dead last on the Heavyweights

Leidlemeier always had a differrnt look about him. Unique looking dude.

Was involved with that Joe Valdez photographer who was had a physique studio where he took pictures.

Had a wake up call and probably realized bodybuilding is not the respected sport he imagined it was when he was 14.

I know for an absolute fact that Joe Valdez did some very weird things. Very weird. He also took some excellent bodybuilding photos. We were friends.

I've heard rumors but I've known Joe since I was 19 until he died and I've never seen anything "weird". He was always around and like a father to Rory and helped him and Cynthie purchase their first home. He worked as a camera man on a long running soap opera series. But in all the years I haven't seen anything that would be factual.
