I like the Hammer Curls he does. What's good about them is that you can lock your shoulders in place, as opposed to the supinating curls which can bother the rotators.

hammers work the brachialis, brachii long head - outer bicep
supinated curls work the brachii short head - inner bicep

work two different parts of the muscle so not sure you can compare them.
hammers aren't opposed to supinated curls, they're in addition to them to work another part of the muscle.
to work the short head you need some form of supination, the more pinky finger is heightened and thumb lowered the more you target the short head.

I must do some videos one day. One of the most effective exercises is what Larry Scott advocated. I made a few triceps machines for our gym.

The updated version has adjustable side pads to keep the elbows from going out to the side.

I even converted a Nautilus Triceps machine so it could be used properly instead of seated.

I used to watch videos of the pros near show time and get annoyed on the easy weight there were doing.  That was before i knew anything about bodybuilding.

a friend of mine who was out in cali and was around all the big name pros (he was a top ranked bench press specialist) told me that guys like sonny schmidt and charles clairmont and others who were top notch guys in the 90s didn't win shows coz they didn't do sexual favors for the judges and for a certain big wig who passed some years ago

when i asked him is that really true, he just laughed in my face and said "come on dude, don't be so fucking naive"
