So my friend is willing to pay the $20 for a pic of Lou. So I wait in line with him. It was apparent to me that the guy in front of us knew nothing about Lou's charging so when it came to be his turn he asked Lou's daughter (who was playing the middle-man) how much for a picture. Needless to say, he looked a little surprised and hollered at his friend nearby, "It's 20 dollars!" and summoned him with his hand to leave. So we were up next. Lou, for whatever reason doesn't seem to acknowledge my friend or anyone else for that matter. You would think you were paying for a picture of his daughter.... anyway, my friend gets the poster along with the free black and white photo. And he thought Lou signed both (yeah right) and his daughter says, "One or the other." So my friend goes with the poster. And on the bottom of the poster Louie signs it VERY small. Almost to where it wasn't noticeable. I'm shaking my head and say nothing to my friend to avoid "shattering" the image of his hero. Anyway, it made my friend's day.

Lou's an inspiration who doesn't have a clue that without bodybuilding he'd be busily constructing pizzas somewhere in Brooklyn. He's not sufficiently self-aware to appreciate that, and is still riding the vapors of Pumping Iron.

Reminds me when Mike Katz appeared along with Draper last spring. Draper was all class, Katz a pompous windbag reminding us that there will never be anything like the old days that he was part of and rode to death. He didn't look a day over 82 years young.

I'm sure Lou is a decent guy to his "friends" but he seems like a bit of a tosser to the general public. He's been riding the cult status forever and generally when previously arrogant cunts like say william shatner got older they became appreciative of their fans..

funny story about Lou. A few years back he was invited to a Halloween party by a friend of his...Everyone dressed up and guess who Lou decided to go as? You guess it a girl scout...Just kidding yes he went as the Hulk..Painted green the whole nine yards...Well when he got to the party, to his dismay their were two other guys dress in a Hulk outfit...Lou went right up to the guy who was having the party and told him that if he didn't tell these guys to either leave for good or go get something else on, that he was out of there...

Needless to say that the guy told Lou he wasn't going to do that and Lou took off from the party in a hissy fit...

I would have paid big money to see that all unfold...priceless...
