Is this like how seroquel makes people fat?
How does that work, do you have an appetite you can't control, or is it something hormonal that no amount of willpower can undo?
I've heard horror stories about some of those meds..
After reading alot on the subject, it seems no one, including docs, definitively knows how or why many of these type of meds cause weight gain.
Though one I know of, Welbutrin, causes weight loss.
From my own use of paxil, it doesn't increase my appetite at all. It just seems to make my body cling to fat. Even on sub 1000 calorie, no carb, high cardio I just couldn't lose any significant
weight. And on a single tame cheat meal I would put on pounds and inches. Which was nuts!
Which is all why when I cut weight I first go off paxil.
