At first I had a hard time with the dial, but it grows on you and wears comfortably.
Great watch..i want the white gold one, but that will have to wait a while   :)

The white gold one is quite a beauty. My dream watch is the skydweller yellow or white gold but that is far away as well.

That Rolex would look nicer with a dark brown alligator band.  Don't want a gold bracelet on my wrist.

Beautiful blue dial

Thanks! I wound up selling the Omega PO because it didn't balance well on the bracelet.

What happened to that guy?
Put his hand on the wrong thigh?
Or maybe taking an extended "Holiday" in Ibiza with two women who are approx 5'10, and who laugh at his jokes about how certain Getbiggers are jealous of his watch collection and physique.

Beautiful piece!

Another "show and tell" watch thread.

I'm grousing because my watch is a beat up 15 year old Seiko that keeps on ticking. Nothing to show.

Seiko's are awesome watches and I have an old one of those too!

I just today bought me and the missus a Daytona and pearlmaster respectively.

Dealer prices, so whilst expensive the only money I should lose is my insurance costs.

I keep telling myself that as the extravagance of spending that amount on watches doesn't sit so easily.

It's funny how all the people who can't afford a high-end watch, always judge people who can as douchebags
I love watches! The mechanics, the craftsmanship, the quality and the way they tell a lot about a person.

Some like cars, others like boats or guns..whatever floats your boat.

But only a fool would deny the quality of a truly upper end watch.

I can tell the time on my phone  ::)

The time on phone comment was a joke... made clear by time on microwave addon.

Thing is, the difference between bling and luxury. If you are Arnold and have a watch collection, it is throwaway money. If you have 10k in the bank and rent cars and have mortgages but also a Rolex it screams "I want to look like I have money".

I know 2 billionaires, and a lot of multi multi millionaires. I also know people with no money who drive cars they can't afford and buy designer clothes and spend a tonne on presents.

It is about priorities. I appreciate a fine watch or car like anyone else.

Do you want names? One lost most his money and the other sequestered a lot by gifting his wife gifts of $100m here and there but still owns a lot of property that was unencumbered.

Pm me if you want names. One is a close mate (son of billionaire obv) and in legal battle over property now so i would rather not publicly mention names.

Ireland is a small country. I was in same course as son of one in uni. Drove his car, broke an urn with plants in his garden and went into his swimming pool in a wheelchair.

Other guy i met through someone else through uni.

Maybe times have changed things, but I was always of the mind that old money doesn't show off while new money does.
