http://www.lifehack.org/articles/lifestyle/10-benefits-of-fasting-that-will-surprise-you.html
these articles don't quantify anything. intermittent fasting improves insulin sensitivity? how much? is this effect significant?
fasting can help with binge eating disorders? sorry, but this sounds like a bad joke to me. the link doesn't go to a study. wonder if the author has ANY personal experience with the matter, or is just writing from his imagination. the 'reasoning' given is absurd:
"Also, for anyone who wants to prevent binge eating, you can establish a set time in where you allow yourself to eat your daily amount of calories in one sitting, and then not eat till the following day."
I could just as easily write:
"With intermittent fasting, binge eaters find encouragement for their proclivities. Being told that eating all of your calories at once is not only acceptable but beneficial only reinforces the pattern they're hoping to break. The disorder deepens as they continue to 'purge' through fasting."
Who's right?
These articles exist to fill someone's pockets, at the expense of filling others' minds with garbage.
